fantastic. The static blocks are executed first because they are ran as soon as the class is loaded... (i.e. during initialisation of the class)

Hello Sir.. I have one doubt. In Previous videos you say that the execution of a program will always start from main() method but in this video (Case II) you will say that "static block" method will be executed without main method. How its possible? Please explain.

in version 1.6 it will excute the static block and then will show runtime error as main methods is not present...from 1.7 version of java it 1st checks whethe main method is there or not then starts its excution ....if main method is not htere then show error......the main thing is that main method is compulsory in all versions at run time

I think, there is correction required in the slide regd, static block with system.exit(0); for 1.6v, output was given as -> static block and then followed by runtime exception; but here RE will not be thrown, since system will exist. plz check and correct accord. Thanks.

As you tell us, If class contain static block and main() method also then there is no change in execution sequence... but i excute progeram on java 8 then output is the first static block is execute then main() method is execute. why the static block is execute first?

Sir, If JVM always starts exceution from main(), then if we write static block first and then main(), then why we are getting o/p as static followed by main. why not reverse ??

+nagavaishnavi juturu JVM does not start execution from main method, it just checks for the main method if it is available or not, execution order is always first static block then main method then all other methods if available.

static block followed by main method, static blocks gets executed first( at the time of class loading). learn flow control.
