Sri Kanth I guess when step value as well as end value is negative it gives an empty string ...I don’t know the correct ans but when I go through the some examples I found the same result

As far as i know, if the step is -ve wich means backward direction, then if we are going from right to left in that sequence, we need to cross "Begin" value first and then the "End" Value, not "END" Value and then the "BEGIN" Value. if it crosses "END" value first and later the "BEGIN" value then it shows EMPTY STRING. PS- THis magic rule applicable to both the directions.
