As you mention about the concrete roof. I can't help thinking about the story of the three little pigs with the straw house, the wood house, and the brick house. Sometimes these simple things that amuse us are really teaching us valuable lessons. My country Jamaica has it worse. Prayers.

I personally don’t like concrete roofs concrete house holds in heat in the daytime and let it go in the evening and when concrete heats up it produces carbon dioxide that is why I feel uncomfortable living in them I have a board house and I am cool day and night

Thank God you all are safe. I've been watching different areas on KZbin and this destruction is not only a hurricane, that's a tornado too, it's how it happens in Texas. I heard an elderly man tell a reporter he had to block his ears ftom the noise he heard and he said it had to be a tornado because of how the wind was swirling around

They need to act fast before another storm come in the same path. This is just the start of the season. Get them tarpalin for the roof to protect from rain so they can have a place to stay and work on their property. Government has to release money for loans quickly so they can rebuild stronger.

Yes it’s going to take years to recover all the grenadines islands take some licks. Especially Union Island Mayreau Carriacou and Petit Martinique they have been decimated, however help will soon come. Emergency aid from all western nations and the states. I had shivers watching this. I pray for all affected by Beryl. Guys, please, and I don't want to come across heartless, but you all know about hurricanes. Why, when you build houses, you don't build them with concrete . Not galvanise or wood. May cost more, but in the long run, it's worth it. Safety is more important. I hope international will will come. Gonna take a long time to rebuild. Prayers 🙏❤
