Yeah, dude. The show was quite literally using him as a lesson. They most likely knew people would judge his fart jokes from the beginning. So they broke everyone’s heart because of it. It’s to let you know not to judge people, because all of them have a story tied to the way they are.

THE FART JOKES WERE AN IMPORTANT PART OF HIS CHILDHOOD TRAUMA. People sometimes, man…. (Even in season 1 the fart song hints at the trauma without the context.) (I do still respect the season 1 opinions on that song tho, but at the same time, rewatching the song after ep. 5 and 7 season 2, so much more depth.)
