Duruflé - Suite Opus 5 - Prélude

Julien Bret - Saint Ouen, Rouen
Maurice Duruflé (11 January 1902 -- 16 June 1986), one of the most gifted pupils of Charles Tournemire, wrote this Suite in 1932. This, the Prélude, is the first of three pieces (the others being the Sicilienne and the famous Toccata), performed by Julien Bret on the 1890 Cavaillé-Coll organ in the Abbey Church of Saint-Ouen in Duruflé's home-town of Rouen.
