You need the crystal thingies from Ianles tower (can't remember the name) & then go to market & there you will find the trader on which you can upgrade dragon gear.

Well master explorer from shop 100€ & the others from scrolls which you can get from boss drops.😁👍🏼

You can see which multi instances drop recruitment scrolls when you check the zone preview. For example burke, peninsula, land of lava & secret.
