For someone who has been influenced to paint a scene along the lines of the artist D. Sheenan, who demonstrates similar techniques to those used by the old masters. When you started off Dave it looked messy but watching you working and reworking the scene you created, it was a pleasure to see a beautiful meadow scene emerge out of the mist of green. Wonderful done.😊👍💯🍺

Dear Mr. Dave, I enjoyed the process of your painting. To me painting is an incomparable art for its beauty lies in the visual depiction of the things which could be comprehended by the five senses and some times beyond on a mute medium that has only two dimensions.So too painters --- INCOMPARABLE-- right from the cave-man who painted the first one to all the great masters living today.Great painting... thank you!

I first watched Sheehan's demonstration video and then yours here. At first you didn't sound too optimistic about what the outcome may be but then I was amazed. In all honesty I admired your painting more than Mr. Sheehan's. It was amazing to see something so beautiful created in such a short time. Art doesn't have to be created in our comfortable medium but you can definitely tell when someone is a true artist. Stepping outside our comfort zones to explore and learn new styles and techniques can show us just how amazing we truly are. You've been very inspirational by doing this video and I'd be interested in seeing you attempt other unusual or aged styles. You have a knack and a way of unlocking the potential in others. Thank you Mr. Usher!

Any chance you could do a sea scape using this technique. If not what would you suggest for the two colours in such a painting. bTW I assume you saw that mystical painting that you created halfway on your way to the painting you ended with. I accually thought you were going to build on that one. It looked like the door and entrance ( on the side of a cliff with the ocean below) to some mytical world maybe an alternate long lost mythology opposed to a Greek myth. It was very cool.
@Socratic4697 жыл бұрын
Its at 9:30 in the video. You can see the broken columns at the ledge entrance and there appears to be a guardian standing just inside the door. Man I love this video of creation since you get so much more form the art beyond the end result.

That turned out very nice; interesting method, sort of "sculpturing in oil paints". I have seen an artist using paint thinner on a fan brush and applying it to oils (first put down) creating different textures, etc. I've been using my mop brush and need more practice in controlling the water. Cheers.
