What a beautiful place to visit. A family member lived and worked in Dusseldorf in the ate 1970's. We love German beers and the food looked amazing.

I went to Düsseldorf in 1979. We were staying in Duisburg my English brother in law was stationed there. We were surprised to see there that you weren’t allowed to put washing out on a Sunday, & cross the road when the lights were on red and there was no traffic about. Loved Düsseldorf we went by tram and you could buy coffee on board and there were tables. The trams as you said went down the main road where the shops were then. I bought 2 suede mini skirts from C&A there they were the equivalent of £1.50 each .

Yes, much lower!! Although it was just a small bowl of goulasch with a roll & a beer, not a huge meal, but still an amazing price x
