This game is absolutely my favorite game ever. I just started about three or four months ago and I have built quite a collection. We still play at my local game store. We have a group of about 12 or so that play on an off

While not a huge fan of the game, I loved the models. I hope you're able to continue to enjoy the game and in the future a new company starts to support it.

Great video guys, been playing Dust since the coffin box days. There are a few options for sold out bits like the Axis and Allied Dice Dust for free on Cults 3D and a few other bits in addition to some decently accurate proxy walkers there's even a custom designed VTOL for the Japanese faction.

Sorry to hear this game is being retired. I really enjoyed looking at all the different models for it even though I've never played. Here's hoping someone else picks up the IP!

Well done! DUST is one of the best 28mm systems out there. the characters and theme lists are not game breaking or overpowering (dare i say it-the game is incredibly balanced in the fact that everything in the game has a counter), the alternating activation system with reaction mechanics keep both players very involved. i play the 3d terrain rules myself and they are easy to understand and make sense (might have something to do with Andy Chambers being brought in to set them up). there is a great batrep channel on YT called gamemaster hobby that has over 60 video batreps unfortunately for the English speakers most are in Spanish, additionally i have a topic on the dakkadakka forums in the sci games section dedicated to DUST where we post information and battle reports. There were so many kits in the previews i was looking forward to. i really hope it finds new life in the future, as the last couple months have been a rush to find all the units our group has been after to complete their armies. P.S. our group has gone back to playing 5th ed 40K- is the best of times, the game is fun again, along with epic 40K and battlefleet gothic if we need to get our grim dark on.

Thanks for the feedback and info Aphyon. That's so cool you created the Dust thread on the DakkaDakka forums as well. We appreciate the comments -- cheers and game on!

Great video guys. Keep up the good work. I'll keep playing Dust 1947 as well. Really need to flush out my USMC army.

Cool musings fellas! I for one will still keep playing Dust 1947 as war never ends! I also believe that the fanbase is strong & dedicated enough to keep the Dust Enlist app going by people subscribing or paying for it. I know that I for one would be happy to do so & have read other comments by other Dusters/ Dusties expressing the same interest. This option would also allow new players to enter the game cheaply as they could still build armies & use other players minis for the game. That app aspect of the game was one of the huge draw-cards for me & simplified gameplay & army building. When I first heard that The War Was Over & that the app may retire, I went to Battlescribe for the first time with a view to using that instead, however that app too is folding. Anyway, in summary: Love the video. Love the game & Keep On Dusting! :)

A great homage to a great game. An alternative way to play this is Two Hour Wargames' 2023 release of NUTS Weird War 2! It even has some convertions of Dust units

Another good point is that for 200-300 just to get into the game, I shouldn't have a feeling like need to buy more to balance it or find new parts or excitement to it

Thanks for viewing and for sharing your detailed thoughts Rick. It will be interesting to see if another company dives into this range and IP. Time will tell.

Great chat, I love dust the rules were so fun and clean. The models were amazing but it was always a nightmare getting a hold of this stuff. Such a pity, it's like AT-43 all over again.

for anyone with a 3d printer, there are a good amount of files out there for dust, the war isn't over yet!

I'd love to see a battle between your premium sets.

I refused to get involved with it bc it seemed largely broken, and then got hit with a bunch of expansions. Rules that didn't translate between add ons. It kept me from the game completely. What a great fucking idea of a game though, I just wish there was more thought put into its longevity.
@table-topthrowdown32222 жыл бұрын
We found the last rule set pretty well balanced for a miniature wargame. As for longevity, it certainly has had a troubled run. Cheers and thanks for the comment! We appreciate you watching.

I really wish more miniature games were prepainted. I have no interest or skill with painting minis and don't want to ruin expensive minis with my poor painting skills. Just one reason I won't play Warhammer for example.
@table-topthrowdown32222 жыл бұрын
It is a bit of a surprise that the industry hasn't been able to start generating more pre-painted miniature games. AT-43 was probably one of the best in terms of quality. Thanks for viewing and sharing your thoughts.
