100% satisfied with this boot. Got mine about 2 weeks ago, put it together and installed on my Onefinity. I ran a 4" hose to my Jet DC1200 dust collector and fired everything up to cut some of the worst crap in the world - MDF. The cuts covered most of a 31x31 piece of MDF. I was pleasantly surprised to see absolutely no dust or chips left on the board. This thing is hands down the best boot I have tried yet. It even cleans up the pesky dust and chips that collect outside the piece when you cut on the edge where the brush leaves the surface and creates that gap. It sure made clean up a breeze. With other boots I literally had to follow the spindle around with a shop vac to keep things cleaned up. The other five boots that I have tried won't do this.

I'm only @3:00 mins into the video and have to say nicely done with the ducting. I've seen and discussed at least 1k ducting jobs while working support at PwnCNC. Most people start blaming the boot when really no dust boot can overcome a poorly designed ducting job. Yours is truly awesome!!

Thanks! It was a heck of a job getting it all installed by myself. It was worth it though.

Hello, I totally love your video. And I like the testing you did. Could you please make a video with your boot in action and how it looks when installed and how it is installed. I have the V9 and I really like it. But if your boot really does out perform the V9 I’m very interested. I also just received a new boot that I’m going to be trying out to see how I like it. It’s a from mount with a dual tub system with the ability to mount a laser without removing. Thanks Chris.

The Big Suck absolutely outperforms the v9. It's very noticeable in real-world application. My experience using it supports the test results in this video. I will make an installation video. If you're familiar with the v9, the installation is basically the same. Both mount with the Z Independent system and work very well with the Ultimate Hose Clamp.

very cool shop setup and testing! I haven't used an airflow-gauge before, but i'm curious how it is able to get a reading when setting on the spoilboard. Doesn't that restrict the airflow through the fan blades used to measure? If you measure up in open air does it read a different value?
@UglyDogWoodshop7 ай бұрын
Good question! Yes, I'm sure it would read differently if I opened it up. It's not "air-tight" against the spoilboard and I positioned it over the t-track and some dog holes. Air was able to get in enough to measure relative performance, which is all I was after.

I'm upgrading from a x50 journeyman to an Elite (upgrade kit) with a z20 80mm mount. I'm also adding a spindle, could you let me know what brackets, support arms, etc. that I would need from PwnCNC to add the Big Suck? Thanks, and don't worry about your hair or beard, they look fine. 🧔♀

I recommend the UHC (pwncnc.myshopify.com/products/ultimate-hose-clamp-attachment?variant=39676967649419&ref=qpV7vrEk5xLGzo) and the Elite base (pwncnc.com/products/ultimate-hose-clamp-base?_pos=1&_sid=9c391afbf&_ss=r&variant=41200972562571&ref=qpV7vrEk5xLGzo) with two 2" Extension Arms (pwncnc.com/products/ultimate-hose-clamp-arms?variant=41745034903691&ref=qpV7vrEk5xLGzo). You could rig something else up, but you need to take the weight of the hose off of the back of the boot. It's the same with the v9. You also need the thumb screws & track nuts (pwncnc.com/products/bracketing-thumb-screws?variant=41621281964171&ref=qpV7vrEk5xLGzo) to attach the legs to the Z-20 slider.

Have you tried pwncnc V10 yet? And does the big suck connect to a 2.5” hose ?
@UglyDogWoodshop8 ай бұрын
I haven't used the V10. I've looked at it very closely though. The Big Suck doesn't currently support a direct connection via 2.5'" hose. It's possible to use an adapter but I haven't tested its performance in that configuration.

Can you tell me which hoses you choose for your water cooled spindle. I’m about to order the pwncnc spindle and I’m not sure on which kind of hose. Thanks
@UglyDogWoodshop8 ай бұрын
I went with silicone ones to start with, which was a mistake. It's too flexible and will kink easily. I haven't used PwnCNC's lines. I used this: amzn.to/49v4lSp. I suspect that is similar to their Standard. Superthane could be a better choice if it's got more integrity than the Silicone.

You should at least color your beard, or shave. But this looks great and when I’m ready, you’ll probably get an order from me. Still building my CNC, which I hope to have done in a few weeks.
