" And all your money won’t another minute buy " I love this quote / lyric. The first time I can honestly remember hearing this song was nearly a decade ago, while on vacation with my parents in Colorado. They had pulled off to look at new house going up in a development somewhere by Rifle, and I sat in the car waiting and this was the song that played. 14 year old me looked out on the reddish colored mountains as the sun went down behind them, not far from a cemetery that had been there since the late 1800s. This is the first time a song really stuck me on spiritual level, that memory was etched into my mind and hasn’t faded one bit. It’s almost haunting, but in a very peaceful way. It’s one of those moments that words were just not necessary and it was quiet and peaceful moment all to my self.

This song reminds me of someone very special to me..this happened in the East Village, NYC …we were 16-17 years old then... The girl I met had a smile that could light up the darkest corners of my soul. Her name was Jennifer, and she possessed an effortless grace that drew me in from the moment our eyes first locked across the crowded karaoke café. It was a chance encounter on a Summer rainy afternoon, yet it felt as if fate had orchestrated our meeting. This song was playing, as I approached her table, I couldn't help but notice the way her eyes sparkled with warmth, reflecting the flickering candlelight. "Mind if I join you?" I asked, trying to mask the nervousness in my voice. She looked up, her gaze meeting mine with a curious twinkle. "Please do," she replied, her voice soft and melodic. Jennifer was a vocal coach, a wandering soul. Her voice was her gift, and she shared it generously, her music touching hearts, stirring emotions. I was immediately drawn to her, captivated by her voice, her spirit, her passion. We talked for hours, lost in conversation as the world outside faded away. We shared stories, dreams for the future, and everything in between. With each word exchanged, I definitely felt a bond forming between us; two strangers brought together by chance. As the day turned into evening, I realized that I never wanted it to end. And it seemed Jennifer felt the same. With a hesitant smile, she reached out and touched my hand, sending a jolt of electricity coursing through me... (I could hear Kansas playing in the background 🎵🎶 …Same old song Just a drop of water in an endless sea.. All we do Crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see..🎶🎵) "I feel like l've known you forever," she confessed, her cheeks flushed with color. I couldn't help but smile, feeling the same inexplicable connection that had drawn me to her. "Me too," I admitted, my heart pounding in my chest. With that simple admission, our worlds collided, and in that moment, everything felt better. The rain outside continued to fall, but within the confines of that café, we found shelter in each other's company. Over time, our conversations turned from casual chats into deep, meaningful ones. We talked about our dreams, our fears, our hopes, and our regrets. We had found a kindred spirit in each other, a rare connection that was as unexpected as it was profound. This girl I met was unlike anyone I had encountered before. She didn't storm into my life like a hurricane; she happened like a gentle breeze, leaving me refreshed and captivated from the moment our eyes first locked in the confines of that café. As a man, I had seen my fair share of women, each with their own unique stories and struggles. But there was something about her, something indescribable that drew me in like a moth to a flame. She had an aura of vulnerability about her, yet there was a fierce determination shining in her eyes, as if she had faced the darkest of storms and emerged stronger than ever. I would come to watch as Jennifer's walls slowly crumbled, revealing the fragile heart hidden beneath. And in those moments of vulnerability, I found myself falling deeper and deeper for her. This girl I met, Jennifer, isn't just a part of my story anymore. She has become my muse, my inspiration, the very reason I look forward to each new day. Years have passed since that rainy day. The café where we met has become our haven, a testament to the story that began there, and this chill Autumn evening as we stand hand in hand, watching the sunrise paint the sky in hues of pink and gold, I know that this girl I met on that rainy Summer afternoon would forever hold the key to my heart…...l still could hear in the background our song play ..."Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind (All we are is dust in the wind) Dust in the wind (Everything is dust in the wind) Everything is dust in the wind…🎵🎶🌹
