Did this on my 2005 Chevy Silverado and worked like a charm! Although my wiring harness was cut off by the previous owner since they put in an after market radio but other than that worked great

How did you wire the head unit in?

@@mack6900I used the old radio to test what wires where left and right and so on and then tested for power and wired everything up using wire nuts which you aren’t supposed to do but the radio has worked for almost a year now

On my 2005 Chevy Silverado there is 2 wire harness that plug into the stock radio but I bought everything this guy bought and there is nowhere to plug the other one in so everything turns on steering wheel buttons work I just don’t have audio what do I need to get.

I have this exact setup except for a PAC interface, and it seems my radio resets itself every time key is off. So im having to set the time and adjust it every startup. Any ideas? I have an 05 LT model with Bose and onstar.

I have a 07 Chevy 1500 classic. I think I’ll invest in this cause I got like a cheap Walmart radio. It’s good but I want something newer. I don’t have all those buttons on the steering like you do

I do think you’d be happy. This head unit has as many features as my stock 2014 Silverado radio. I don’t even feel like I’m downgrading when driving my 04 with this head unit. Thanks for watching!

I bought this exact kit for the same exact truck and it is draining my battery. Is there a certain wire that doesn’t need to be connected? I used everything that you used in the video.

Actually I just went into Best Buy today and asked about the metra connector and the geek squad employee who installs Headunits told me that the actual connector itself is the one draining the battery he told me it’s very common to see and he wasn’t sure if metra fixed the issue or not but in your case it might be the connector itself

yea wires are all the same. only difference is now you have gps and other things. But the black and white wire (power cables) will power that up

If you have a 1999-2002 it won’t fit you’ll have to trim dash or buy new one that will fit

It seems to be pulling power from the battery at all times. Did you experience anything similar to this? Got any advice? I,m wondering if the wiring for power needs to be set up differently. Thanks!
