This way is so much better than HP sand-blasting. Better for the environment, less mess and powerful enough to strip anything to bare metal. I've seen a UHP jet cut through a tough leather work-boot like a hot knife through butter! I need my hull UHPing before I sail to Brasil next year. Shame you guys aren't in the UK. I can tell that because your staff don't wear gloves or much protective gear! Our Health and Safety Executive would have a hissy fit.. lol :-)

Baltoplate and any other anti fouling paint can easily be removed. If it's really tough it might slow it down a bit. We've removed 60 Mil nonskid and even fusion bonded epoxy pretty quickly, anti fouling paint is easy in comparison. Some people send us parts to blast and we video it for them so they can see exactly how well it works. Feel free to send us the toughest coating you can find.

Hi Michael, you will damage glass and chrome if you hit them directly, so it is definitely a good idea to mask them off. However, the recycled bottle glass (when blasted wet) does not really ricochet like dry blasting does, so your glass or chrome is safe if you're blasting a distance away from it.

We blast a frame in one of our videos called "How to Use the DB150" at about 3:20. We also have some videos where we strip whole cars, no suspension parts yet though.

Hi, Please advise if the Dustless blaster can remove marine paint 300 micron & corrosions in Sea Water Ballast Tanks.

Can this process remove advance black rust build up on steel substrates? I see paint and maybe surface rust, but I need to get steel that has significant rust removed, but abrasive blasting is not permitted.

hi still into this.. what about removing really thick antifouling and "Baltoplate",,and hard antifouling paints 25 yr old stuff ....this info is crucial toward me getting the db800 or 500,,thnx Rob

This equipment can work cleaning internal surfaces of hydrocarbon tanks and after cleaning tanks or pipes the cleaned surface is ready to be able to paint with standards for NACE standard and epoxy paint. This information is important to us and that depends on the purchase of DB1500

A WIN nozzle is not used with the Dustless Blaster, the water and abrasive (recycled bottle glass) is mixed inside the blast tank. In one of the clips the guy is using a WIN nozzle, probably because that happens to be what he had on hand, but it's not actually connected to a water source.

What I'm seeing in your video is that you do not have remove or tape off the glass or stainless or rubber, Is this a fair statement? The crushed glass does not damage any of the trim, rubber or glass?

I think the process in which you've utilized both water and abrasive media is a fantastic and much safer idea, however I find the claim of "dustless" hard to believe. What about the residue from the paint/debris that is removed from the blasted material? I see that the surface has dried quickly (from the high pressure I assume?) but the paint and debris that comes from the blasted piece must go somewhere right? Has there been a look into a vacuum/containment method?

Mark Wilcox dustless means it isnt sand blasting... i dont think they meant as in the residue will be all dustless

How does this process work on grease? Will it remove undercoating on the underside of autombiles/
@DustlessBlasting-MMLJ8 жыл бұрын
+Roy Smalley It will remove grease and undercoating. With dry blasting, undercoating becomes soft and gooey and tough to remove due to friction and heat. The water in the Dustless process cools the coating, which makes it brittle and easy to remove. It takes longer to remove than paint, but it still comes off surprisingly fast.

What type of rust inhibitor do you use ?
@DustlessBlasting-MMLJ5 жыл бұрын
Hi, we always use this Rust Inhibitor: store.dustlessblasting.com/products/dustless-blasting-rust-inhibitor
@daczkes10 жыл бұрын
i can't understand this method makes all cleaned thing wet so corrosion and rust will attack immediately after cleaning
@DustlessBlasting-MMLJ8 жыл бұрын
+daczkes We use a special rust inhibitor to eliminate flash rust for up to 72 hours. When used correctly it actually leaves a perfect paint ready surface, improves coating adhesion and enhances long term coating performance.

can the db 225 uses ordinary white sand that usually used in construction (masonry )
@DustlessBlasting-MMLJ8 жыл бұрын
+Jagdesh Ramjag I am not familiar with masonry sand, but if it is clean and consistent and not too fine it should work. We've got some contractors who have even used sandbox play sand from Home Depot. Sugar sand is a great option though, cheap and leaves a pretty smooth surface.
