I said it once, I'll say it again: thank you for your reaction. I'm glad you liked my suggestion :). It's incredible how big the footprint of such a small country is. And the fact that it is all behind the scenes, quietly taking place. Yep typically Dutch, we don't like to brag....we just do.

In movies you also used to see those 'cold' parks in America, and I never knew why they called them parks without proper nature. Now I understand this better and of course we have to share each others experiences and knowledge. We're all human beings

Cool too see how us dutch men are actually everywhere. I've been in the architect world all my life because of my grandpa and think its very cool to see how they go to work. My grandpa actually designed the first co2- neutral district in the netherlands :P

Great video! When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be about pre-20th century Dutch architecture. (I live in upstate NY, so there's plenty of that around). I sure wish more countries had the Dutch attitude - don't limit yourself.

Do not forget that the dutch used stepped gable architecture for houses, started after the dutch moved to New York in the early days, those houses are almost a copy of houses in Amsterdam. Most modern architecture are crap, but that is opinion. ✌️

Fun fact before 2010 when maasvlakte 2 was build. The dutch also constructed the palm islands of Dubai and Qatar.

Approximately 10 years ago I was like ''I want to move away out of my country , the Netherlands sucks''. But in the last couple of years I started to become more proud of being Dutch. This is mainly because I've learned more about our history , the amount of things that we've accomplished globally. The only downside (in my opinion) of our country is , that it is flat and with flat I really mean flat. The first time I noticed how flat it was is when I came back on a plain from England and I looked out of the window and was like ''Yep I have arrived in the Netherlands''. I still kinda want to move to England one day but with other reasonings then before . I would never move to the USA tho just because its way to big and I think it cost to much time to move from point A to B.

USA is very good in building new, but maintenance to keep it nice cost money … and that is usually a problem. So making it nice is one,.. but keeping it nice …

..me as Dutch.. this looks only straight lines.. look at 1800's buildings...THAT is craftmanship, working stone and put ornaments in, not steel and concrete...oh yes, glas... sickening,

I don't like modern architecture , to me it all looks like a toddler playing a jigsaw paper puzzle .
