It’s beautiful! What pouring medium do you use in this pour Kelly?
@kellydriver2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wen, thank you very much! It’s just paint and water! Very simple 😀. Kelly x

Absolutely beautiful! Do you mix paints like Dutch pour? Is it thicker?
@kellydriver2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jeni! I’ve finished it with epoxy resin now and it’s so pretty! I used my Dutch pour consistency paints (paint and water). I figured because my lazy Susan doesn’t move that fast I shouldn’t make the paint thicker like Rinske does.

How long it take for this canvas to dry ?
@kellydriver2 жыл бұрын
Hi Susie! The wooden board took a couple of days to dry. It’s winter here in Melbourne so I have the heater on in the house which speeds it up. It’s important to avoid direct air blowing on the drying paint though 😀. The bigger the painting, the longer it takes. A large canvas can take 5 days

You don’t tag or give credit to Rinske Douna?
@kellydriver2 жыл бұрын
Rinske named this style of painting the ‘Dutch Bloom’ technique as a new spin off/variation to her original ‘Dutch Pour’ technique with paint and water. I refer to it as the ‘dutch bloom’ throughout including in the title. This is my first dutch bloom. Thank you for watching!

We have to acknowledge that artists discover things which are new to them, without having known someone else has done whatever and published them on KZbin or wherever. eg, "cells" are known by many different names but are the same thing, and we the audience know this. We must be so careful in how we word critiques/give feedback to others. I have seen a few folks do similar things to this style before I saw Rinske present her style of poured/blown series. No offence meant to anyone.
