Lewis fan here: Although I wanted Lewis to win, and aside from the controversial FIA calls, this race was great. My favorite part was seeing Peréz and Hamilton battle. So cool to see. And big congrats to Max for the win!

I used to be a Lewis fan (from 2007-2016) but yeah, the FIA calls were crazy. What I learned is that when you win lots, you sometimes forget the feeling of losing the big one. Mercedes are Constructor's Champions but their behavior made them damage their sportsmanship as a team. Nonetheless, congrats to Max Verstappen. I hope the FIA will make a new revision for the rules and (hopefully) replace some members to officals who have a good IQ about F1 racing in general. And remember when an auto-racing title is on the line, finish it on the track, NOT in a meeting room.

@@tommywilson2984 well, we have to learn that NOT only the drivers and teams have to learn from their mistakes. The FIA themselves have to learn as well (i.e. Brazil 2003, USA 2005, Imola 1994, Adelaide 1991). Toto's behavior is understandable but the way he reacted is not gentlemanly. FIA on the other hand are really complex to understand because they changed members and rules from time to time which is mind-boggling. And on MY take about the last lap, Latifi had a big crash, stewards were cleaning up the debris really quickly. Mercedes could've used this chance to pit Hamilton for new tyres but they bet much on the Safety Car finish. Instead, they took the ball on the 5 unlapped cars overtaking which is really controversial. It's proof that Mercedes MADE A MISTAKE! The greats are also human so don't settle for a fact they're superhuman. For Hamilton fans who claim that Lewis Hamilton was robbed, keep it to yourselves but look at what Lewis and his Father did, THEY CONGRATULATED MAX AND HIS FATHER JOS LIKE GENTLEMEN! Sure Max can be rage-y at times but he also learns from his mistakes. We should consider this season as one the heart attack inducing season in F1's history in the 21st century. In favor with the world champion or not, it happened.

Do it, the GP more than exceeded expectations. Crazy, crazy atmosphere! Just a tip: go by train. Zandvoort was closed off for all traffic except bikes and select public transport options. Still, I literally had 0 problems on Saturday and Sunday. There was 0 delay getting on the trains from Amsterdam Centraal station. Once you're on board, it's ~30 minutes to Zandvoort plus a short hike to the track.

Watching this as an Austrian and Red Bull fan, obviously rooting for the Schnelle Joong, Max. This last race made me go through multiple different stages of emotions and this last lap, I simply couldn’t believe it, I actually started crying out of joy, especially when hearing Horner say „You’re World Champion“, instantly reminded me of 2010 With the last 2 years I was loosing almost all my passion for this sport, 8 years of Mercedes dominance and 7 titles for the same guy driving the same car for 6 of them … The battles weren’t even close and it was a pure Mercedes monopoly, I just took a quick google search into my phone after a race and was like, ahh, who would have guessed, it’s Lewis again.
