Hi, That twisted hoist line on the pile is a major No No, Foreman needs to wake up. Been there, didn’t do that. Very nice rig though, smooth operation

Dieselheiblok never dies!

why dont they put a pointy end on
@leopold71484 жыл бұрын
Because they sink easier :) Once the pile is driven in the bottemend is meant to rest on a layer of sand. If you put a pointy end on it, it wont rest, but sink further.

What type of rigging is being used to “choke” the pile? It looks more flexible than typical wire rope.
@ke6gwf4 жыл бұрын
It looks like either a wire rope with a more flexible design, more smaller wires? Or possibly some coated synthetic slings?

i think its complicated and slow, but is it pecause the pile so enormous?
@johannesslobbe68546 жыл бұрын
The forces generated by a windmill are enormous. The foundation must be precise and very much as designed. Including the piling.

Don't they ever grease that poor machine? You can hear it squeaking in almost all of its functions which means the joints are dry and begging for lubrication. It must be a rented machine.

That is hard driving no blow count
@mariotorres6287 Жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing. Very hard driving, nearly from the start. I wonder what the energy rating is for that hammer. Liked the part when the pile was fully driven (to refusal?) and the hammer raised amidst all the smoke. At that point that pile cushion (stacked plywood, didn't see a cushion installed?) was truly burning.
