My dutch shepherd is turning 9 in May, and we have been living happily in an apartment. She is always content. Great work with you pup!

I live in an apartment, do you think I can have one dutch shepherd even if I only have 1 hour at day only to take them to the street? Or it need much more activity?

Cute pup. 😃 Going to the driver's seat was clearly a preview of her Driver's Ed training. 😂

Getting a Dutch Shepard is a lot of work! Getting a long hair Shepard add extra cleaning to the mix ( shedding). Dutch Sheppard adopted without a lot of formal training ( abused background). Extra extensive training, research, time and training. ( did I mention you need to have patience). 😊 Great content. We adopted our Dutch shepherd it’ll be one year in October. He’s worth every minute.

Love it! My Dutch Shepherd, Kiera (4years old now, had her since 7 months old), is also my service dog (I’m a USMC vet) and I also live in an apartment. It is entirely possible to have a Dutchie (or Mal or any working breed) in that environment and have him/her be happy and healthy. Granted with her being my service dog, she’s with me 24/7 and goes everywhere I go. So she gets PLENTY of exercise and mental stimulation. She also gets plenty of play and love. My mom (she calls Kiera her grand dog since I don’t have kids) spoils the shit out of her and dotes on her like a child. So it is totally possible as long as the dog is well worked and stimulated. We’ll soon be moving to Kentucky to work with the breeder/trainer that she came from and living on the property, so she’ll have a huge amount of land to run and play on with a bunch of other Dutchies. She’s gonna be in heaven! Lol But I’m glad you’re showing this is all possible and you’re doing it the right way.

@@UncensoredTacticalI know this is an older video but I am EXTREMELY interested in getting a Dutch- I’m the manager of a kennel so my dog will be able to come with me daily. My boy passed away unexpectedly & I really don’t want to get another bully breed he was my heart & I just can’t. I have also been training dogs for the last 8 years but I’ve never actually owned anything but bully breed mixes. The previous kennel I was workinj at was solely a ‘working dog’ kennel we trained protection/dual purpose/s&r/scent detection & on very rare occasions we’d train pets. My previous boss hated Dutchies because she said they were ‘harder’ & preferred Mal’s because they were ‘softer’ as in more sensitive.. bit from my experience I have definitely seen Mal’s be way more handler sensitive & after a strong correction they’ll bite their handler (however that can be with any dog of course) I’m torn between getting a DDR GSD or a DS.. I already have a breeder that has been extremely patient with me & we’ve been speaking for the last few months and I have nothing but good things to say about her. I would like my dog to be a medical/psych SD but i would also like my dog to be able to do fast cat & IPO(from my understanding since it’s a sport it’s allowed under the ADA) I’d love to gain any of your honest feedback I’m truly open to hearing anything you think all I want is for my next dog to be in the best possible situation all the while making sure their needs are fully met. Since I’m the manager I have way more leeway with bringing my next dog in with me daily. I also get every Sunday off & every other Sat and thd latest I’d work until is 5:30-6:00 during the week but like I said I just want to make sure I give my next dog the absolute best life possible. Thanks for any input. ❤

Thank you! That's a Modern Icon harness :)
@coreyhart3093 жыл бұрын
Modem Icon is awesome! Kiera has multiple collars and leads from them. Got a custom leather wrapped “Bespoke” collar that cost like $160 for her 2nd or 3rd birthday. Expensive, but worth it. It’s comfy on her and she looks great with it. Lifetime warranty and amazing build quality on it and everything else they make.

I’ll be importing a Dutch Shepherd when I get my house. I will be getting him as my next service dog prospect to replace my current one when he retires. I currently have a 6yo border collie as my service dog. I’d like to speak with you sometime! If you’d like to follow our journey, we have an IG @vertigoservicedog

Wow! If she were a human she'd look like super model. Very attractive dog. Please breed her.
