Dutched Shed-build bikes - Suzuki GSX600F - Episode 3.1 - Carb Cleaning

The carbs of my Suzuki GSX caferacer / scrambler really need a good cleaning, outside and inside. I have never worked with these particular carbs so I'm learning as I go. Biggest problem is not the gunk but screws that won't come loose....
This was one off the two motorcycles I am/was working on. The other is a Suzuki GS450L which im turning into a great looking caferacer. The builds i do in my shed also involves making my own DIY tools like a sandblastercabinet as well as learning new skills like MIG-welding and reading a wiring diagram.

Unfortunately I had to abandon the GSX600 project and stopped working on it because the exhaust was completely rusted solid in the engine block. Even a professional garage wasn't able to free them. So i sold the bike for parts and focused my time and money on my Caferacer Suzuki GS450L build.
Maybe I will pickup another GSX600 later in time because a the example in the thumbnail shows it can be a great looker as a scrambler.

I bought a 93 gxsr 750 the carb system looks the same as the ones you have in your video the fuel lines on mine rotted away was wondering if you could explain/send me any photo ya on routing the fuel lines I couldn’t see the labels you had on the hoses and where you pulled them off from in the video. Thanks

kingjayv203 unfortunately i don’t have the gsx anymore. I had to abandon this project as the engine was to corroded and seized nuts. So i cant help you any futher.

I have to say its a pretty long time ago. Have you tried looking at the schematics for your gxs600 on cmsnl.com? That shows how the part fits in the carb, what it looks like. But normally a flathead-screw-driver is all you need or a gripvise depending on the type. The screwdriver had to fit perfectly in order not to damage the screw. Hope that helps!
