He didn't speak English at all in 2017 :) Since then he improved his English so much. About unnecessary high notes - it was a vocal competition and only 3rd round, so he had to show his all vocal abilities and the song must be done in different arrangement than original as I know.

Something else to remember this was a competition show and the time given to them for each song is limited so there wasn't really time to do the full guitar solo in this instance. And of course it's also not karaoke and I give him great respect for making this song his own without making it sound like a completely different song all together. And each of these songs is also having to be learned in a week to perform each show. You should also react to the forever Queen medley with dimash and the super vocal boys. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If you know how Dimash interprets songs, he is not singing the song as Freddie putting on a brave face to the world but as how he feels on the inside facing death and screaming against fate on the inside. Listen again while you change the perspective of how Dimash is singing it.

Димаш поёт на 12 или более языках, но знать все эти языки певцу не обязательно. Димаш прекрасно знает ноты всего пианино и более и нам этого достаточно. Англоязычному человеку не стоит напоминать об акценте или произношении английских слов в песнях не англоязычных певцов - это не красиво. В конце уже забыл про акцент певца, это со всеми происходит, когда отделяют зерна от плевел.

You will get to love his idiosyncrasies in his early language efforts. He learns using phonetics, and so some things slip by, and Russian is his second language…which is not like English. After a while, the words almost disappear as the unbelievable tones touch your heart.

To put it into context, Dimash was in a chinese singing competition for well established and well known chinese singers and he came as a wild card that no one knew. Dimash was given this song and one week to learn the english lyrics to the song to sing it. That is why his english at that time was not good.

Hai Barry! Dank je voor jouw eerlijke en toffe reactie!! Helemaal prima dat je dingen mist of anders zou willen. Freddie is one of a kind, maar deze versie van Dimash gaat ook rechtstreeks je hart in, zag het ook aan je (we are with you!) en hij doet Freddie eer aan met zijn cover. Recent heeft Dimash drie nieuwe nummers uitgebracht tijdens de New Wave, waar hij gejureerd heeft. Eigenlijk twee nieuwe eigen nummers en 1 cover van Ave Maria. Alledrie must see! Stranger is tv/movie waardig (credits ook voor Igor Krutoy, de composer, de pianist), Fly away is populaire muziek voor op de radio / mainstream en Ave Maria is voor de echte muziek liefhebbers/kenners, want wie dit niet raakt …. zo mooi. I subscibed, was ik vergeten 😬 en hoop dat je snel die 50k haalt! Succes en hopelijk zien we snel een reactie op Stranger, Ave Maria en Fly away (in die volgorde 😉) Groetjes!!!

Het is een zangcompetitie! Als hij optreedt dan heeft hij zijn eigen band en dansers en backing singers! Bij dit optreden moest hij het met deze muziek doen. Toen moest hij nog aan zangwedstrijden meedoen om beroemd te worden. Nu niet meer. Hij is wel beroemd geworden door deze chinese competitie en daar is hij heel erg dankbaar voor. He sings in 12 languages and speaks 4. English is not at this point, one of the languages that he speaks. He does improve incredible fast. As a Welsh person and you Dutch, we know how difficult English is to learn. He 1st sang in English in this competition, this performance in English, is I think only his 2nd time of singing in English. 2. May I ask why are u not playing the video of him singing this performance. 3. If u listen to Freddie and Dimash's performance side by side, whilst emphasise and phrasing is different they are incredibly similar.
