If you want to see his heart watch this fan cam from New York. It is a traditional Kazakh song. Now , it is a fan cam but it is a really good one. I am adding the link to the fan cam because the owner of the cam did a fantastic job of catching his emotions up close. This was his first solo concert in America at a sold out Barclay's center. People from I think something like 60 + countries flew to New York just to see him in person. I was there and it was incredible because there were fans from all over the world, his country, America, China, Iceland, South America and on and on and on. His dream has been to have a concert in New York, and to sing this song to introduce his culture to the world. He is overwhelmed when the audience does their best to sing with him in Kazakh, his native tongue. In the video you see how he responds to his fans. You will see his heart felt appreciation, tears in his eyes and yes, a man so humble he gets on his knees and bows to the audience. For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. This band is the Kazakh band A-Studio (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-Studio), and the song Sinful Passion was originally performed by them with lead singer, Batyrkhan Shukenov, in 1998. Dimash has said he is a big fan of Shukenov's solo work and listens to him a lot in his down time, but sadly Shukenov passed away in 2015, not too many years before this performance. It has been said, arguably, that this performance is a tribute to Shukenov. I like to think that's true, but others will say I'm wrong. Regardless, it's an incredible honor for the band to have Dimash perform their song so masterfully. One singer-reactor said after he watched Dimash's 'SOS' as his first reaction, that it caused 2 feelings: an inspiration to try harder but also a feel to give up everything. "How can you write a song, put it to share, when you know that this guy exists somewhere?" he asked. I found this heartbreaking... Maybe this was because of shock. Of course things are not so bad. Hey Dimash's personality is from his raising up and from being a Gemini Wood Dog :) Dimash takes on the character in every song he sings and 5 seconds after goes back to the Humble shy guy called Dimash :) Even Wikipedia has a hard time keeping up with all his accolades. Ya de niño dibujaba su sueño entre instrumentos musicales, escenarios y equipos de amplificación. Tenía dignos ejemplos en sus padres y abuelos. En cada actuación hemos observado cómo agradece a sus "dears" (así llama a sus fans)y cómo siempre tiene palabras de consideración a la orquesta que lo acompaña. También nos ha llamado la atención que cada vez que sus padres o abuelos lo acompañan en el concierto tiene palabras de amor para ellos. Sus dears estamos seguros que jamás le veremos signos de arrogancia o actitudes de "divo".

I agree with you, every day it's an honour to listen to Dimash singing. I still feel this way after four years. You will get many suggestions, but there is really no "right" way to explore his catalogue of performances. Everyone has their own favourite Dimash songs and performances. We all have different taste, but one thing in common: Any song is made better because Dimash sings it.

This song was written by the band A Studio years ago. Their lead singer passed away and Dimash paid homage to him with that middle part melisma. It’s often heard when honoring someone. Dimash is a living legend. I feel fortunate to live in his time. Thanks for a great reaction. I knew after your first remarks he was going to blow your mind at the end. Inderdaad de beste van de wereld tot verslavend toe. Heb al zijn liedjes al 100 keer gezien en toch blijf ik kippenvel krijgen. Wat een presence en uitstraling. Sleurt je volledig mee in zijn muziek die hij zelf heel intens brengt. Elke avond luister ik vooral naar stem leraren en coaches, operazangers hun reactie op zijn liedjes omdat ik daar het meest uit leer. Waarom is hij nog zo onbekend? Net zoals Lara Fabian zijn idool. Zo perfect zingen in alle tonen van laag naar hoog met hoofd en borststem. Hij wisselt van tonen moeiteloos waar anderen hun stembanden zouden van scheuren. Waanzin! Ik luister nog maar 2 jaar naar Dimash en door hem met alle respect is al de rest zoveel minder geworden om nog naar te luisteren. Er zijn nog een paar toppers zoals Aida Garifullina, Lara Fabian en Vanny Vabiola

Dimash & Li Yugang - as a duet they perform Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance at the Shanghai Spring Festival concert.
