Sad but may Allah grant him jannah. Sounds like the story of Sumayyah, Bilal etc all the way to the modern era of Circassia, Crimea, Palestine, Kashmir, East Turkmenistan, Myanmar. All tortured, persecuted, prosecuted and murdered for being Muslims.
