Well done Bannistator! I've attended Reno's air races many times. It doesn't compare with all the WWII hardware on display and in flight at Duxford. OMG, that airshow is a WWII aviation fan's wet dream. I happen to be such a fan. Thanks for filming this. I can watch it over and over and get that same tingle every time when those warbird engines roar by. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for posting this! Ever since I was a boy, I have loved the elliptical-shaped wing, exemplified in the Spitfire (my favorite airplane). There is a beauty and grace that is just stunning. And it is interesting to see them in flight. The tail assembly is comparatively so small looking! All these war birds are exciting to me. Having been to my share of air shows, I know how those engines rumble. The power is stunning, and for some reason, you can feel the power--unlike jets. Maybe this is because a cylinder exploding inside to push a piston feels more powerful than a turbine's whine. At any rate, I thank you again for pressenting this fine video.

Yak-3! Yumyum! One of the finest WWII fighters…And all those lovely Merlins and Griffons roaring and crackling away…what a superb selection, almost makes me weep that there are so few left and some types have no survivors at all. THAT is sad. No Typhoons, no Dewoitine D520s, no Defiant or Whirlwind, so many we will never see again. However, what there is here is just enough to keep alive the spirits and memories of the brave young men who flew them day after day. May they be remembered always.

spot on HSTM - I think it's a great song, but the sound of a Bearcat is much better :) There maybe a slight 'oh god' under my breath when the music starts....... The only saving grace here at Duxford, it's a good sound system, clear with a bit of warm bass unlike fairford and others where its like hearing someone play a song over the phone from under the sea! :)

Later to 19 Sqn, 402 Sqn, No 3501 Support Unit and 53 OTU. With seven kills, she is the most credited Mk V in existence and maybe the most credited WWII fighter.
