13:45 there's actually a very good reason to buy at the beach club resort. If that is the resort that you want to stay at, especially during any of the peak seasons like holidays or spring breaks or even over the summer, it can be extremely difficult to get a room especially a studio unless you own at beach club. If you had to resort to paying for a direct reservation in cash it would cost 3X as much and the truth is that the DVC side is nicer than the retail side

Karen, this is great information and reinforces our decision to purchase on the resale market. We became members in 2015 and although we own a relatively small contract, we are entitled to the benefits as they began to strip them away shortly after. The numbers you provide will be very helpful to new purchasers. Can certainly tell you’re an accountant 😉

You keep talkin about a 51-year commitment but the reality is that most people can usually sell after 5 to 10 years at a profit. I remember when my brother bought at Grand Floridian 10 years ago adiron 110 dollars per point and I thought he was crazy because I had just bought a Vero Beach resale at just 45PP. Yet today both those contracts are worth at least 50% more.... So we can get out of them if we want.

Such great information again on DVC! I'm looking forward to your rental video. Buying in doesn't make sense for me but renting has always been interesting but also intimidating so haven't tried it yet! We can stay at Shades of Green so that has always been our "home" resort based on availability.

Thanks for this. Your breakdown in the last 2 videos have been extremely helpful and I finally understand how DVC works. I had been contemplating buying at the Disneyland hotel but the Aussie dollar is terrible against the USD at the moment so the costs for us would be way too high for my liking. Maybe one day though 😊😊😊
