Lovely footage, Andermatt has changed quite a bit in the last 19 years. Lots more apartment buildings and some new ski lifts too.

I was impressed with the precious video footage 19 years ago. And I felt the value of this video from the information I learned on WIKIPEDIA. "In January 2003, the year after this video shoot, the BVZ Zermatt-Bahn and the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn (FO) were integrated. It became the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB)." I watched this video in Japan about 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 21, 2021 [JST].

What a memory provoking adventure! Reminiscing about winters spent in my birth country Austria, taking trains to various locations. The last five minutes with the shots of the trains in the dark with the lights of the passenger cabins shining brightly were just stunning. Loved the slow pan over the valley below as the last train disappeared. Well done.

Are all the locomotives rack (zahnrad) equipped or only some?

All FO, and BVZ, now MGB have rack's. But also ALL wagons on one axxle. Best regards, Remco

Thank you for the video! Now this is a proper beautiful winter. It looks like there's a lot of activity for such a relatively remote place as Andermatt; Swiss railway network is simply the best. How long did it take you to film all the scenes? I'm assuming it was all filmed in one day.
