Right from the very start, I knew this was going to be something special. And so it was: a truly beautiful performance, with all the feeling and drama that this music needs. Absolutely superb phrasing and dynamics. Thank you so much for this gorgeous video, I shall be back to watch it again.

WHAT A PERFORMANCE !!!!! Of the four symphonic poems of this period by Dvorak, even though they are all splendid, This Is My Favorite.....Particularly like the violins playing those BOO HOO crocodile tears along with the solo trumpet. Hope the three remaining symphonic poems are here on KZbin. Will definitely look for them. Thanks to the DRP for the posting..

The wood dove, or The wild dove. One of Karl Jaromir Erben's macabre Czech folk tales, brought to life by Dvorak. The others are The water goblin, The midday witch, The golden spinning wheel. All are exquisitely beautiful.
