Excellent episode although I believe it took some liberties with the original tale. Also seemed to be set closer to our time than when first written in the 1880s. Regardless, one of the best episodes of CBSTMT I've heard!

As to the mysterious disappearance of Ambrose Bierce, is it not unlikely that he met his untimely death after having unwisely mouthed off to Pancho Villa?

Am rose was elderly at the time of his disappearance, and in declining health. He's as likely to have died quietly somewhere well away vfrom others as to have ended up on villas wrong side. I know this is a popular notion in more recent years, but it has little real evidence to support it.
