Nostalgia blinds ppl and makes them irrational. PT was one of the great and scariest DEMO for silent hill and it would’ve been a fantastic game and addition to the series but w the unfortunate cancellation we didn’t get it. So I respectfully disagree that SH should’ve stayed dead for the sake of remembering the old games as if they were always “master pieces” but SH4 was the least liked of the OG soooooo🤷‍♂️ SH fans should be open minded but when it comes to games like ascension then it’s justified to not like it. Constructive criticism ppl not blind nostalgia or needless toxicity just enjoy the dang game that’s coming out 😤

Nostalgia does blind people. So does the hate for it. SH4 is my personal favorite out of the series. It’s different yes but there was real innovation there. “New” does not equate to innovation. I dont think Silent Hill should die because I think the OGs should stand alone. I think it should have died because well… it had a good run and now we make other games. I actually want this game to succeeds very well. Its very frustrating for the amount of hate its getting and while i agree that there are things to criticize about it, i feel like there are many good things about this game, and shoot no game is perfect, look at the og silent hill for gods sake. I never got to play Silent Hill, and right now their resellijg the og game for 200-400 dollars right now which is insane to me. So i feel like it will be awesome for someone like me who actually gets the chance to play this game

Maybe is because i have played the og like dozens of times, but Silent Hill 2 combat was the lest survival of all Silent Hill games, you could take every fight and running away from the enemies was more focused on saving time between levels than to survive for another fight, there was also ammo everywhere, like James becomes a walking arsenal by the end of the game. So much pessimism towards this game and what they have shown is not actually bad.

From what i read - the whole marketing side is done by Konami. so this trailer was done by Konami without Bloober's input. Even Bloober's CEO said that the trailer was mid and didnt reflect what they were going for with the vibe of the game. but also i feel sorry for Bloober, ppl dont like them and then they were tasked with remaking this holy grail of a game with astronomical expectations . personally, i think this remake will be totaly fine. But because it wont be 12/10 it will be considered "bad" by some.

I want it to succeed too. the only issue i had with the way it looks were the animations with the combat. silent hill combat was always kinda wonky. the QTE i dont like. but it kinda looks like the "break free" QTE which im ok with. the spoiler part. idk i think that was sorta for the OG's BUT maybe not thought about. the look of this silent hill looks good. with bloober IDK, i dont have any bad nor good feeling with them. the medium i enjoyed. im a bit different i guess, because i like things that others dont a lot of the time. but with something that is NOT their IP. it is worrysome, but i am hopeful. especially since e had nothing from silent hill for years, then we all a sudden we got a few of them coming. but i think lots of people want to look for negative than positive sometimes too. Like also the hate on "The short message". Konami left sour taste in everyones mouth. so we just expect it to be shit lol. thats ok too though. and sometimes i think nostalgia gets in the way too. thats also ok. but i would def say make your voice heard but lets also hope it will be good. i for one hope it will be. its one of my favorite games of all time.

I have tried to stay optimistic but bloober literally failed at making a faithful remake of their OWN GAME also i really hope they replace that default ass vaulting animation of the nurse. They should be tripping and flopping over that shit EDIT: The writing on the wall was there in the original but it was a lot more subtle. it said "If you Really want to see Mary you should just DiE But You mIght be heading to A diffErent place than MARY, James"

Yes that’s one thing I didn’t mention in the video that I definitely should’ve. The monsters movement doesn’t exactly feel innovative And absolutely I remember there being actual writing on the walls but there’s a HUGE difference between how the original handled it from how the remake handles it. “Reap what you sow!” is just a fancy way of saying “You did it.” Like come on this dev team isn’t the greatest but they’re better than that

I think reap what you sow is kinda subtle not gonna lie because of how cliche it is, compared to the message in Nealy’s bar but I think they should have kept it a little more hidden like not in the middle of a wall. I personally think the remake will be good especially to the newer silent hill players who don’t wanna play tank controls but will probably be meh to the Ogs, it’s anyone’s guess to be honest. The original games had QTEs but invisible so if they just change that I think it’d be fine bc just like in the originals, especially SH1, if u do nothing when an enemy grabbed u, u would die. Tho I was hoping they’d display damage on James like Murphy in downpour with limping and blood on his body. I get ppl don’t want SH2 to be combat focused but it obviously won’t. Of course the trailer was edited to show the revamped combat in a COMBAT TRAILER. In the trailer u see James fighting 3 enemies in the hotel pool just like the original! So I don’t see y ppl r so upset over that 😭💀 yes I agree u don’t have to fight…u can still decide that in the remake😂 the trailer is only showing moments when James is indeed fighting not that he’s taking every fight. I even fought every enemy in OG SH2 and it didn’t kill whatever atmosphere. Ppl r saying it’s so action oriented asking like James is doing back flipped and kicks but he’s literally just hitting and shooting enemies like a regular dude ugh it’s annoying 💀💀

I don’t think we’re complaining about there being QTEs. Most people understand that they exist in most games in some way. As you said, they were invisible. We don’t care about the existence of QTEs as much as we care about the VISIBILITY of them. I do agree that there should be a better way to show damage to James such as limping or blood. What I slightly disagree with is that people are overreacting about the trailer. There are definitely people simply shitting on this trailer because it’s not the original. That’s lame. It’s a lame way of thinking and nostalgia should not have that tight of a grip on anyone. HOWEVER the combat trailer did very little in the way of showing real innovation. Since we can’t (at least at the moment) see any meaningful upgrades to combat it’s natural people are just gonna see the QTEs and graphics as the dev teams “thing to write home about”. It’s not great trailer. That’s all we’re saying. Like said in the video, I want this to succeed. I’m not gonna hate on this because it’s new. I will criticize it for being pointless though.

BC that's the problem of some fans, they didn't understand there isn't a formula for SH, bc the nightmare is gonna be focus in the protagonist, therefore a writer's nightmare, isn't the same of a guy that is a soldier, or return by the power of the town as a soldier. Now if some fans expected tank controls in this remake, then we got a problem, that means the mistake isn't at the company, the issue is some people has a very limited game skills. And they don't want to upgrade that.

A known leaked shared that this trailer is actually old from may ‘23 and is in the final stages of development so w the nastiness we’re used to should be there. But James was still clean in the OG🫢 but in the first teaser trailer there’s scenes w dirty maps,sinks, restaurants and all that so just go back to that trailer.
