@gamefreak3072 The ducks were erased from time by the cracks, yet Amy still knew it was a duck pond and the "Don't Feed the Ducks" sign still remained. This foreshadowed that when things fall out of the world, they leave behind traces and they can still be remembered.

@123dandan96 I looked up the filming location on streetview a while ago (because I'm a massive DW nerd) and it wasn't there. I think they made that pond especially for that scene because if you look at the pond in the episode the stone work looks quite flimsy.

@gamefreak3072 Actually, they did! The Doctor mentioned it in Flesh and Stone; said something about a Cyberking in the middle of London and a duck pond without any ducks. That was when he began to realize what the cracks were. I guess the cracks stole the ducks! :)
