Motty Steinmetz sings here in a Sephardic style with "silsulim" (he never did, at least in front of a camera, before). The rabbi next to him is Sephardic. That's why everyone's in shock here and try to film this special moment. It's very-very rare and unusual (if not impossible) to see a Hasidic man sing in a Sephardic way. Well done, Motty Steinmetz, a pleasure to us!

Love how Motty sings in any style, but here he shows the bridge of the singing for Achdus Israel. Hashem loves it. I am a child of a marriage of a Sephardic dad and a polish mom. Hashem loves me because I am the result of this Achdus

Motty Steinmetz seems to wake the spirit of Rabbi Yitzhak Abuhav (Spanish kabbalist, 15th century, having projected the famous Synagogue in Tsfat). The Torah scroll written down by Rabbi Yitzhak Abuhav was delivered by his followers to Tsfat during the years of prosecution in Spain. That’s why this passionate Sephardic improvisation is most significant on the eve of Simhat Torah.
