Thank you! I plan on doing an update on these trees in the spring. That won't be long since I live in zone 10 in the US and I call spring the middle of February! I'm going to prune for shape and put some into even bigger pots and I might plant some into the ground.

Thank you for sharing. Your plants look happy. You mentioned you gave them a good fertilization. I'm curious what fertilizers you use for your Portulacarias.

I use a number of different types but mostly pelleted slow release fertilizer. Since I was in the horticulture industry I'm able to buy a commercial grade product in 50 lb. bags. Any good slow release fert. will work, though. I've tried some really high quality organic fertilizer and the raccoons ate it all!

Great video, your information was great. My problem is I started late in life. I love jades but I can't find good stock in SW Michigan to work with. Time is not on my side, to let the jade plants grow for long periods of time. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great job and thank you.

I know what you mean. I'm pushing 70 and yet I just planted seed of three different types of trees! I may be able to find you some larger jade. Let me work out it and I'll get back to you.

Do you prefer to have the lichen on them? It’s cam be cleaned off with a toothbrush and soapy water. I see a PA bonsai grower in Mexico doing this to his trees every repot.

I don't mind the lichen, I think the patina adds to the look of age and I have never really seen trees losing vigor because of it so I tend to leave it alone.
