Good to here the word lough as should be used through out the.island I remember being in Kerry and they used in 1968 the term lakes of Killarney then. We in Scotland have only two Lakes one of them of Menteirh An sgire Uabhasach breagha 😊

Glad I came across your channel. My ancestors were Cole's. He bought Einniskillen Castle outright and had the Portora Castle built. It's a goal to get there one day. Sir William Cole (1570)

There’s the Cole’s monument in Forthill Park. You used to be able to climb up the spiral staircase during the summer. I’m not sure if that’s still the case. Fantastic view at the top.
