Vinyl Window Pivot Lock Shoe Replacement - Fix a Broken Spring on a Tilt-Out Vinyl Window

Don't replace your vinyl window until you watch this. Trouble with sash springs, window balances, window springs, etc can almost always be fixed without replacing the window. A broken pivot lock shoe is cheap and easy to replace. You can repair your tilt out vinyl window and avoid the high cost of replacing it. The spring retainer, or pivot lock shoe, holds the spring down so that the sash operates properly. When the pivot lock shoe, or spring retainer, breaks, the spring can't do its job.
