G'day Charlie, I like your HX ! I had one as a company workhorse ! 173 ,3 on the tree ! Not a straight panel rattles,clunks and noises Various other types of ailments yet the only reason it died was because I hit a buffalo at 140 kph ! P,s glad you play for my team

Hey mate boostgumps has just done a Barra similar model with column shift…obviously completely different engine and box but might have a few different ideas to get it to work..I think it was a fair nightmare

Agreed maxs gated shifter could be made to work on this Ute.

I hope that you're not thinking of using the standard Jatco 4 speed automatic transmission because they're crap unless they're strengthened with the Torrington thrust bearing upgrade. Even the heavy duty VL turbo non lockup torque converter version was failure prone since nylon thrust washers were used inside of the transmission. I would use.the heavy duty RE4R03A Jatco 4 speed automatic transmission from the R33 Skyline GTS-T if using the Japanese automatic transmission,not the E4N71B unit. If going for a non G transmission perhaps at least the 4L65E GM 4 speed automatic transmission can be used or a 4L80E which is very heavy duty can be used. I have seen someone use ba TH350 in an R32 Skyline GT-R which put out. 1500 flywheel horsepower,it actually ran a Nissan RD28 diesel engine block,RB26; cylinder head & a stroker kit !

If you are going with a Haltech IC7 dash it would look much better if you could have a dash surround modelled off original instead of having a screen infront of original.
