In this clip, Dwen Curry revisits the emotional conversation she had with her uncle about her sexuality. It was the first time that she voluntarily came out to a family member. Dwen explained that her uncle, who worked as a counselor, helped instill values and a confidence that inspired her decision to "come out" while she was living in Oakland, California. From there, Dwen recounts getting a job at a hotel and how the position gave her access to people's personal information, which introduced her to credit card scams.
Later, she speaks about how she got into scamming, saying it occurred organically. Dwen makes the point that she ran with real street dudes and put them onto scamming to transition away from selling drugs. At the height of her scamming, Dwen made around $50,000 a month.
