I hear Moses Tyson Jr playing like this when I was 16 years old and he was 15 years old. Man I love him since then. He had a huge curly afro then with some tall platform shoes. This was in the early 70's. Moses cousin is Sly as in Sly and the Family Stones.

He's a beast n my opinion his playing take it back to old raspy southern soul blues n that anointed Gospel old time sound

Come Dr. Tyson! Let God use you. I love it. He plays what anointing he feels in him. I love to hear him with "Yes Lord" and "Near The Cross". Play that sir. The Lord has given all musicians different mannerisms, techniques, and styles, and rhythms. I thank God for their gifts because I need them when I sing and minister the gospel. HALLELUJAH!!

Jesus said to let your light so shine befor men that you may glorify your father in heaven. When the Lord blesses us with gifts, we are to use them to the full. Self righteousness is the greatest Sin of all. these negative comments are probably from someone who can not even play a piano much less an organ.

I would never pay to eat at a buffet that had just one item on the buffet. Nor would I live a life that had just one item - a one-note life. I get much more out of life by being a "This AND That" person, rather than a "This OR That"-type person. I love his version of this song - and others too. Your Mileage May Vary

This is the problem with opinions, they are like those other things that stink everybody has one. that is why we must know the WORD of God! I Tmothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. The brother has to make a living. We know that God provides; that is why he gave this brother mad skills.

@tmwck Have you chord voicing is a matter of taste. as to how you voice them inversions. Have you heard of of comping? Better yet dont argue with youtube go to where some serious jazz musicians are and tell them your great knowledge of voicing chords

If he is making money playing for the Lord.....that may be inapropriate if he is..........but if his playing can inspire someone to turn their life over to Jesus..........that is the main thing......he needs to play more cleanly..but it is just an opinion.........Praise Him!

I truely wish these Holier than thou no Bible reading folk would study scripture before voicing thier OPINION about matters they have no knowledge of. As far as this man getting paid; For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

He's making money as a musician. His venue is Gospel music. like any other musician he has to eat. I just don't see how that is inappropriate. Not trying to argue, I just wish people would not be so judgmental towards others.

This sounds like a gospel track preset on a Casio keyboard. Its stereotypical gospel for lack of a better description.

Sounds like jealousy to me, why are you calling people condescending names just for doing their best. That is your opinion, if you dont like his playing move on. He is a professional organist. and plenty people like his albums and cds.

alright hot shot, yesssssssssss you can play, but DON'T mess up AMAZING GRACE like that! some songs are best left as is. you "sho nuff" have the gift, but you need some anointed passion for this one. to GOD be the GLORY.

@tmwck what u just said dont make right good sense, DUH a jazz player is not going to play gospel like a gospel player because he's jazz and not gospel. Ur friend may be best in jazz but he knows nothing about true Gospel because its not in him.
