this guy has more talent in his left pinky than everyone combined who is currently played on (so-called) country music radio

Facts! Every single "so called" new country star in the last 15 yrs absolutely sucks & what they play/sing simply isn't country music!

This performance of this song has to be one of the greatest pieces of art of all time

Amen! Though I would argue that the performance of this beautiful song captured on the “Dwight LIVE (1995) CD eclipsed this one. Anderson’s guitar 🎸 magic on that tune and the entire live CD is impeccable. One of my favorite CDs of all time bar none.

When I lost my job years ago, after 32 years (plant closing). I listened to this song and cryed to and from work, the last few weeks. I felt "A Thousand miles from Nowhere". It still moves me. JEM

"This Time" was such a great, classic album. Dwight is so much more authentic than all this crap that passes for country music these days.

I love Trains , i grew up with them , Growing up in Detroit, i would lay in bed at night and I would here them every night, I always wondered where are they going ? When I was 17 i went down to the Tracks and jumped on a Freight Train, heading South, I ended up in Atlanta Georgia, and got off, i did not know where i was yet, at the time i had john cash and merle haggard in mind, Years later this song came out, and i could totally relate to it, Thanks Dwight for the song, you brought back my Traveling Bone at an early age, A Great Song Man, Cousin Figel

@@Mike-zv8rd sadly this will never happn. You can search the net for reasons for the breakup, but we'll likely never learn the real story. There are many Pete vids here on you tube with/without Dwight so we'll just have to enjoy those.

Just so happens Dwight came to Yuma here several months ago, and it was perhaps the most enjoyable concert venue I have ever attended. If your itching for a desert visit, head west to Arizona. Yuma has more sun than any other place in the U.S.A Today it was a mild 112 degrees, but you know what? The desert life is best for me. Yep, there's something about the old southwest you can't find anywhere else. Oww-whoo!
@sandyjacobs46567 жыл бұрын
azpitbull I grew up in Phx , so I know what you mean. It was a mere 114° once when we hitched to Christown Mall in the summer of 1969!!!

@69Telecaster15 жыл бұрын
Don't quote me but I think it's a custom Cimarron guitar, Tele style, with a tremolo tail piece. Pete's style is what makes it come alive. Great guitars are a dime a dozen but it's the player that makes any guitar sing.

masively underappreciated artist,I've been to a bunch of his shows and he always brings it.Millions get him,.and yes he's famous and awesome,..but he just isn't getting the play and attention he already has earned. The great thing is hes Okay with it cuz hes just doing what he does,.and his music and fans is his own reward as he is comfortable with himself.

Dwight always sounds great no matter what song he sings and this is one of his best - who will ever forget him riding on top of the train! I loved the old stuff, love the new - still miss Pete but Dwight does move on. A legend in his time. I have so much respect for this multitalented man. (I had the poster of Dwight in this jacket - so sexy -but it can get in the way of playing a guitar!) Thanks for the post.

Love the instrumentation on this! Almost has a Petty-like vibe to it. Thinking my cover band will have to add a few more DY songs to our set list. Currently performing his version of Little Sister-- a nod to Elvis of course. But I'm digging a lot of his other tunes, too. Suggestions? Many thanks! 😎🎸
