Wade put his Team on his BACK . If you sat there and watched the entire finals , the team fed off his energy and responded positively from it . Everyone keeps referring that DWade had shaq . Shaq was on the downfall of his Career but he only averaged 14 and 10 the entire series . When Kobe had shaq he was in the prime of his carrer . Shaq affected all aspects of the floor in LA . DWade was a One Man Army . Every bucket at the end of each game came from DWADE . He will always be one of the Top shooting Guards to ever play this game .

i don't think that the thing is. when Shaw was in LA, the team played around him he was the main player of that team, meanwhile, in the heat he wasn't the center of attention I mean. they didn't play like LA with him, and yeah its true shq was on his downfall

+Russell Burton - Have to agree with you TOTALLY. And for those who don't get how great Wade's performance was, just think if you switched Kobe and Wade that year, Kobe could have never, ever taken the Heat to the championship but Wade likely would have taken the Lakers there as they had more talent than the Heat. Kobe has been more consistent and more durable than Wade but he has never in his career been as good as Wade was in that playoffs - of course who has. To me, at 70 yrs. old and still playing since 16 yrs. old, I never ever seen a greater display of effort and shire talent. If you could have only one series and playoff to keep to watch, this would be the one. Wade ruled and Kobe drooled. Skipp Roseboro

Are you kidding? In the 1993 finals MJ averaged 41,0 points (51% from the field). 8,5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.
@Whoknows35210 жыл бұрын
crashboy0 Actually you can google "Greatest Finals Performances" and ESPN ranked D wade as #1 of ALL TIME, all lot of people don't know this but in 06 Dwade had the highest PER in the finals EVER.
@crashboy010 жыл бұрын
WhoKnows352 I googled just like you said and I actually don't get this this PER stuff. They put MJ's 1991, 1997 and 1998 performance above his 1993 performance which was clearly his greatest. in 1991 MJ averaged: 31.2 points (56% from the field), 6.6 rebounds, 11.4 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.4 blocks. in 1997 MJ averaged: 32.3 points (45% from the field), 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks. in 1998 MJ averaged: 33.5 points (43% from the filed), 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 stelas, 0.7 blocks. in 2006 Wade averaged: 34.7 pointes (47% from the field), 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.0 blocks. How can any of this be batter than his 1993 performance? 41,0 points (51% from the field). 8,5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks per game. So MJ averaged 6.3 points (with a better % from the field), 0.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists MORE than Wade but he somehow got a lower PER. This is just funny. XD This PER stuff is stupid. How can a 34 year old (1997) and 35 year old (1998) MJ be more efficient and more dominating than a 29 year old MJ? The numbers are all here. You can judge yourself. :)
@Whoknows35210 жыл бұрын
I'll give you that, his 1993 performance is probably the most dominant, but d wade's is right there with it, and d wade's is way better than anything Kobe has done, i think when it comes to wade and kobe it comes to quality over quantity, and Prime wade is better than prime kobe, but MJ is the greatest no debate
@crashboy010 жыл бұрын
WhoKnows352 I agree that Wade's performance in the 2006 finals is better than any of Kobe's. But we shouldn't disrespect Kobe. When Kobe was in his absolute prime he was a beast, but unfortunately for him he didn't have enough talent around him to win it all. Wade's performance in the 2006 finals, MJ's performance in the 1993 finals and Shaq's performance in the finals from 2000 to 2002 are the greatest ever. IMO the greatest performance is MJ's from 1993 followed by all Shaq (all 3 of his are simply amazing) and then comes Wade. But yeah Wade is up there with MJ.

I loved D-Wade's game. I think it was closer to young MJ than Kobe in terms of attacking relentlessly. Just a bit too out of control and sacrificed his body too much. Where MJ had the luxury of hanging in the air forever and then taking the contact and finishing and landing balanced on his feet, Wade would rush to the basket and give his body up mid air and land hard on his body which obviously took it's toll. D-Wade is closer to Kobe in terms of athleticism instead of MJ, but he was still very explosive when he needed to be. It was smooth how he'd transition from a casual speed to a rapid burst to the basket. You still saw much of that in their back to back with LeBron and Bosh, but i don't know. He wasn't the same. He went from the Flash to flashes of the flash so quickly. I've heard the steroids jokes and it is true that people who use PED's are more prone to injuries but i don't want to go with that. I understand once your body starts to break down, there's not much you can do. But, for me i think it was attitude. Much like hungry T-Mac who at a young age of 23 years old dropped 32, 6.5 and 5.5 and attacked and got to the line a lot and had one of the best PERs ever, they both had too much individual success early. You see in both players that their FT attempts trend downward into their late mid 20s and late 20s which is usually when players peak. It's like they felt entitled. Then came all the whining from both players. Where Wade had won a ring at 24, he relied too heavily on the refs to bail him out and would complain and complain(won't mention the flopping b/c that is just part of todays NBA culture. Everyone flops today). Where T-Mac could put up one of the best statistical seasons ever at 23 years old, he would complain and scream every time there was contact bc he wanted the calls. D-Wade built a good post game which kept him a very good 2nd option. T-Mac started settling for deep 2's and very inefficient heat checks though he became a very, very good playmaking point forward. DWade was a champion, T-Mac endured loss after loss after disappointing loss. It just mentally crippled him. He never had the luxuries that Kobe and Wade had, but that's another story. So both players bodies started breaking down, but one champion wanted to keep training and keep pushing and is making an okay transition into a role player with a new and better attitude while the other just mentally didn't have anymore to give to get past his injuries. He couldn't make the transition into even a 2nd option or 3rd option. He just gave up. In the end, Kobe only has amazing longevity over both players, but in their primes, an argument can be made for all 3.

HailKingCeezer Wade was more like Jordan in terms of athleticism but Kobe was more like Jordan in terms of skill but he just didn't want to pass which gave him a bad rep. Wade has one of highest assists percentage among 2 guards in NBA history not even Jordan is up there. Wade is more of a team player and he calmed down because the Heat signed LeBron and Bosh so you wouldn't see the 30.1 ppg he had in 2008 so he sacrificed a lot of his touches for LeBron and Bosh. But when they called on him he didn't let us down. I think Wade should have preserved his body more but both his meniscus were taken out before he even went to the NBA. I guarantee it if Wade didn't have LeBron he would have at least 25,00 career points.

HailKingCeezer who would you suggest is more athletic, kobe or jordan? and who is better in the post? or your view on jordan compared to kobe?

MNZL That's not even close. Jordan wins hands down. Kobe had a 38 inch vertical, that he may have upped a couple of inches by his physical prime, while MJ is one of the fastest players ever clocked while dribbling and possesses a reported 48 inch vertical. If that is exaggerated, it at the very least was 45 IMO. He could run the length of the court in 3 dribbles. Watch all his dunks closely, he was a two foot vertical dunker unlike someone like LBJ who is a one foot leaper. Watch the slam dunk contest dunks of Jordans in slow motion and appreciate that he was getting at rim level while contorting his whole body and legs mid air. That's insane. His head was even with the rim while jumping from the free throw line. That's ridiculous. There's a reason he could hang in the air like no one else, so the vertical #'s might be true after all. Why didn't he ever jump and get over the rim like LeBron or Gerald Green? Probably because like i said, he wasn't really a one foot leaper and it's the not the goal to get as high as possible in order to dunk, and remember Jordan and Kobe both are only 6'4.75 in barefoot height. Bill Russell himself said he could touch the top of the backboard and look down into the rim when he was in his prime. He was a top 3 high jumper in the world and could have won gold in that and in basketball, but he never jumped over the rim, because it was the never purpose. He was 6'10 barefoot though(the 6'9 # is not accurate.). Anyway, to try and compare Mike and Kobe, watch 18-25 year old Kobe and then try and find as much footage of young Mike as you can. Keep in mind, the shorter the shorts, the younger he was. As they get longer, he was already in his late 20s. Better in the post in no question either. Mike's footwork and array of moves and fadeway's are all what Kobe tried to mimic with success. Don't be misinformed by people who will tell you the reason MJ kept winning at a later age in the 2nd 3peat was because he became great post. This is false. He was always incredible in the post. You will see him doing his incredibly fast juke spin fake and come back around for his fadeaway or pump back in to an easy shot since he was in his early 20's. The only thing that changed was that he got got way stronger and smarter as he got older instead of relying on his speed, quickness and jumping ability. Kobe started to add his post game in about 2008-2009 when he worked with Hakeem the DR34M on post moves in that summer. He IMO resembled older MJ in that the moves were smart and patient. My view on the players? I think MJ is the GOAT and kobe is sort of a "Lite" version of MJ with a special ability that makes Kobe his own type of player. That is the ability to catch fire from anywhere on the floor. When Kobe goes through those stretches where he's feeling it, he's probably the most lethal player ever. Problem is, you can't stay hot forever and the heat checks really hurt his team many times. He is the toughest shot maker ever. But, then again MJ never tried to take those type of shots, he would prefer the more efficient shot and his efficiency #s show for it. The geatest thing for Kobe is his consistency to be a top tier player coupled with his longevity. Sure his body is pretty much done at this point while Jordan was still winning his last MVP and a 6th ring at his age, but there was a stretch of about 12 seasons that Kobe was a top 3 player. That's amazing. He's for sure the 2nd best SG ever, i just don't know where i can place him on the GOAT list. He's a very hard player to appreciate. He's the all time leader in missed shots, he had one of the most dominant big men ever for 3 of his rings. He only has 2 Finals MVP out of his 5 rings, and a very real case could be made for Pau Gasol to have won 1 of those. He is a high volume, high usage %, low efficiency player. He alienated all his teammates. He's laid a lot of duds in the finals and in the playoffs. MJ went above and beyond his regular season hype when it came to the playoffs and Finals. He had another gear, always. LeBron has surpassed Kobe as a basketball player IMO. But, dammit. If there was a draft and both are in their primes, i don't think i can draft LeBron over Kobe. That's what makes him so difficult to place on a list. I know i'm going to get someone mentally stronger than LeBron, someone obsessed with winning. Someone not afraid to take the last shot and fail. He'll come right back and drain the winning shot in your face. He's a killer. Cold blooded. Stone cold killer. LeBron is none of those things. When MJ retired, i thought he was the last of his kind. It turns out Kobe is the last of that kind. We will never see their kind again. Especially with the way the league has become so soft and filled with every player wanting to be buddy buddy. Perhaps Westbrook will take up the mantel. He's as tough as nails, but flails and whines so damn much like so many other pampered stars of today. Kobe will be missed.

awesomeguy631 Not so fast man. MJ is the greatest scorer, so he was asked to be just that. But, when he was called upon to be a passer and play the Point in '89. He showed he could have been probably the greatest all around player if he wanted to. In those 24 games at PG, Jordan averaged 30.42 ppg at 51% FG, 10.71 apg, 9.2 rpg, 2.45 spg & .91 bpg, all while passing to a bunch of journeymen role players. Jordan finished the last 24 games at Point Guard with 12 Triple Doubles in 24 games. 10 in 11 games. Including a run of 7 triple doubles in a row. It should also be noted that Jordan barely missed more Triple Doubles in 2 of those 24 games by 1 assist in 1 game & 1 rebound in the other game (March 22nd vs Suns 32 pnts (.579%), 9 asts, 10 rebs & on April 17th vs Knicks 34 pnts (.524), 11 asts, 9 rebs). In that 11 game run, Jordan averaged an astonishing 33.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and 11.4 assists. In the first game as a point guard, he recorded the fastest triple double in just 21 minutes!! Jordan would finish that season with a total of 15 triple-doubles, three short of Magic Johnson’s record of 18 in one season. And Jordan accomplished that in the era of hand checking, no added defensive 3 sec violation & a brutal Eastern Conference. There is no way we know if he could have sustained such an amazing run, but with MJ, you can never count him out. His stamina level is legendary. He could have had Oscar Robertson numbers in the modern era if he wanted to. Instead, Pippen developed and Phil Jackson took over the team and implemented the triangle offense. Even LeBron would probably only get 5.5 to 6 assists at most in that offense. Point is, it's not an offense catered to one guy holding the ball the whole time as LeBron does and Wade used to do.
