Started to do this and saw it was impractical and decided not too, drone has to keep it's center of balance otherwise it's a bigger bitch to fly then it already was. (Fail)

May need to reset the gyros point the left controll down and to the right the left down and to the left at the same time I took mine apart and made a plane out of it Fly's pretty good for only having differential thrust lol It's fun to fly though it's a challenge that's for sure lol

if you cant find the charger go external like he did, it would let you charge the batteries faster for one

Would this work if I did that but instead of using a 1s(3.2v) lipo, I would use a 2s(7.4v) lipo?

Motors would probably handle it, but I think that the rest of electronic would go up in smoke.

no! only 3.7v !!! only parallel connection to increase capacity, but still the same 3.7v (!)

Awesome video! Did you figure out why it won't fly correctly? doesn't it have stability control so it doesn't go crazy like it did after you replaced the battery or is the battery you used just to much power for this drone? I have one that has a bad battery as well, It sat for quite some time and failed. Look forward to hearing back from ya! Thanks in advance!

There were several factors that affected the flight of this little rascal. Even before I did any mods it was acting up. One of the propeller shafts is bent from multiple collisions, and also gyroscope is not in the best shape. Putting on smaller battery and securing it firmly greatly improved maneuverability. Key is not to overweight the craft and have everything as tight as you can. Anything loose will throw the drone off balance. In your case I would go with the same size or even smaller battery than originally. You might decrease flight time with smaller battery but it is easier to fit it in tight places and secure it with some double sided tape. I hope this helps.

3d print maybe or buy one. but printing a bigger thicker guard would effect battery time

If the rest of the drone is working that means that either LEDs are bed or FET transistor that drives them.
