I had a whole "primoridal" mode, but if I had shown the whole thing then when the foot transformed it would have zoomed out on the whole figure and then right back in on the foot for the transformation. So I just stayed tight on the foot as the common starting point.

Glad to help. You can also thank DX9 themselves. You see, Chigurh was the figure that made me realize there was such a thing as a "primordial mode" as I call it, or the exact in-between mode of a triple changer. This allowed me to make triple-changer videos that could show every possible conversions without me having to shoot 3 entire sequences. The instructions for Chigurh were laid out by DX9 just like that - they take you to the in-between configuration and then let you choose where to go from there.

He came out nicely. My first triple-changer video where I used a "primordial mode" to save shooting. It allowed me to show every conceivable transformation (there are six combinations: 1>2, 1>3, 2>1, 2>3, 3>1, 3>2. The sequence went: 1>2>3>1>3>2>1 which covers all of them)

Best attempt at an MP triple changer for me has to be Unique Toys' Octane, but I give props to all the designers of the more successful "premium" triple-changing types. I dread to think how many hours are spent trying to create something that works as three distinct forms.

@@peolesdru a fantastic video as ever! I'd love to see a third party attempt an MP Broadside. Poor guy seems to have always got the short end of the stick when it comes to official representations, obvious scaling issues aside. I remember there being a Warbot one some years ago, but that was too small. If there's a market for characters like Pointblank to get 3P representations, then Broadside has as good a chance as any.

Great video. I was initially somewhat tepid regarding a triple-changer video, as I assumed you'd just speed up the 2 (+2 reverse) transitions, but I love what you have done here. A bit of feedback. The way you have done this is obviously a substantial amount more work; however, given how complex the engineering is, it's easy for a viewer to lose track of which transformation is occurring. This might even defeat the purpose of the additional time you put it. I cannot speak for other viewers of course, but at first, I didn't realize you were doing all the combinations, and I was actively watching. To put it verbally, I didn't perceive the transitions as obvious as TRAIN -> SHUTTLE -> ROBUT; rather, it was more subtle, like ASTROATRAIN ->ASTROBTRAIN -> ASTROCTRAIN. Given your additional production time, and the complexity in following the transformation patterns, I might recommend some sort of call-out, cards, etc. to highlight which transformation is ongoing. Not sure if that's something you are interested in, but I hope it helps. I look forward to seeing more triple changers on the channel!

Thanks! It's because their likenesses cannot be copyrighted but their names can. So Chigurh can LOOk exactly like Astrotrain, but they cannot use the actual name "Astrotrain" unless they want to be sued. So they pick names that aren't copyrighted.

I honestly could have lived without the transformation to and from each mode to the others, all it did was make the video 30% longer and give me a headache when i couldn't find a pattern, so thats a hard nope from me, sorry, something interesting and completely irrelevant i found though was that universe hound has a extra transformation step in the legs, the green panel above the wheels can rotate 180 and clean up the shape even more, if thats even possible
