What's a good way to moisturize starter locs besides using oil? I was advised not to spray water on my hair but to use an oil mist and my hair doesn't feel moisturized at all although it does have movement and isn't stiff. Her hair looks so soft and moisturized here.

You have to consider you hair condition and porosity. If you need a lot of moisture try steam treatments. There are a number of ways. Maybe do a consult to find out your current condition to see what you should use.

Ive been doing my sisters sister locks ive also been doing my cousins as well. They have 2 diff hair patterns. My sister's locks seem a bit frizzy twords the ends but cousins does not. Is this due to hydration issues?

in one of your previous vids u mentioned that u pin the entire length of starter locs. so thats what i began to do. now u say you pin at the line of demarcation btwn the new growth and budding loc. now im confused n dont know which on i should do. i have been following your technique

You adjust to the different stages and hair length. If her hair wasn’t at this stage, or progressing I would pin the whole thing. Because it’s progressing nicely, I don’t have to.

I would cut it off. You may end up frustrated at the results and the line of demarcation as your hair grows.
