I bought the IR2 and that was my best investment... never had any issues, no jams or broken paint or chopped paint. The eyes work flawlessly. And the price is cheap. Still rocking the IR2 with my CS3!

never had my LTR jam. what i have had issues with is loading it with a speed feed if the hopper isn't fully drained

Just switched from a LTR to an IR2. The easy to switch lid is probably my favorite feature. The Rotor is so hard to switch the lid to a speed feed, I just bought another Rotor that I always kept a rain lid on, and one that always had a speed feed.

I use an IR2, but it isn’t for the lid. That might be the last thing I’m concerned with. How often are you changing the lid?
@paintballdad90811 ай бұрын
It would've been a lot. I play almost every weekend. And this year in the Carolina area it rained every single weekend up until about May. And I think for the year total we're looking at about 70% of weekends that have had rain. So it would have been a lot of switching back and forth.

You crying about removing a few screws to change lids!? Not like you're doing it during a match.

You can chunk a LTR off a building and the thing will still run! It may be bigger but these things are bullet proof. I'ved rocked my LTR since 2018, used it on Shockers, Enmeys, Dyes, etc no issues at all.

The thing literally jammed first time in the demo video he was filming

I will say after owning both the rotor and the ir . I find it far easier to fill into the ir than the rotor and I will also admit if you are a snake player or someone who likes to dive. The rotor , the r2 and the ltr will for sure turn into a blender if you break a ball in there and will jam up especially in rainy or high humidity environments when the paint swells a little or gets a little damp and sticky

This may sound dumb but it would be nice if it wasn't so hard to find shells for the pinokio that is in the background of the video. I thought that was a all around well priced and simple like the old school revvys but fed way faster and more consistently

i've got 3 ir hoppers! love them.

Both are solid loaders and will work great . There really is no reason to spend 250$ on a loader when either of these do the exact same thing with same reliability. The IR 2 is bulletproof and just works Everytime

My rotor jams with weird paint sometimes. Like at the start of a point. Pisses me off and thought about trying the spire out

Used rotors for years but lately I’ve had so many issues with crap paint on walk on days I switch over to spire 4

virtue if your playing capped ramping...cant be beat..mine has never jammed in a game ever.

Id say the ltr has 2 things going for it . 1 being super durable and 2 being way faster than 10.3 bps so if you are playing uncapped bps paintball or just want to see how fast your gun can go then then all the rotors are in a class of their own . But if you want a system that's light, relatively quiet, and never jams it's hard to find a hopper better than anything virtue or bunkerkings has

LTR is heavier. LTR has jammed on me multiple times. IR2 latch system isn't as good, but it's never jammed, ever.

Speed/ drop test with a halo too and rotor loader
@jonathansnyder320610 ай бұрын
As someone who owns both... I wouldn't buy either again... Rotor is heavy and jams every time it matters... Spire is painfully slow and has caused so many chops in my mech guns. I often find myself reaching for an old school revy over the spire (if I need something not force fed) or a halo over the rotor... Neither sees the field on tournament day because I can't trust either. Our last event there was a pile of rotors that we couldn't use and instead ended up running prophecies, revys, and halos (whatever was extras in our gear bags)...

Sounds like your LTR has the tension too high. I turned mine down, never had a single jam.

I run my tm40 in semi uncapped spire can't keep up.
@TheDuke-n7o11 ай бұрын
I had the Empire Ax2 and put it in full auto and my IR2 kept up just fine... 3 years later I'm still using the same IR2 but with my CS3 and still no issues even at uncapped in semi. Unfortunately the fields I go to you have to run 10.2 capped. I've been thinking about getting the Spire 5 but I'll stick to my IR2 until it no longer works.

Mine can't keep up with 15 year old mech cockers.... Second worst loader I have owned... Second only to the vl quantum to anyone who remembers those...

From my own experience the ir2 will starting skipping up at around 13+ bps.
