MXR Grip and Barrel on PE R5 would be the baby I'd want.

Currently own both. Can’t go wrong with either PE is a great company with great QC and customer service. Dye has great customer service but QC isn’t quite as good as PE. Both shoot absolutely amazing, R5 a bit smoother and quieter with brass sfr. MXR comparable with the bolt guide oring installed to the R5 with the stainless SFR set to - but sound sig is different. Paint handling is about the same, now that the MXR has the updates. Both are super efficient. Both have great features. I do slightly prefer the ergos of the MXR but only just slightly.

I have both and I like/love both. The cases I don't care as much about because I use a 3rd party case to carry them both in together. They are the same interchangeable barrel inserts so who cares on that front. You can't beat the Dye 45 grip. The overall ergo's, for me (because we are all different) I prefer the R5. Hard comparison because that DYE 45 is the better main grip. The barrels are obviously interchangeable so it comes down to overall feel and shot quality. That R5 is hard to beat man. I confidently feel that someone who buys either would be happy. I would go with the R5 overall for me. But the MXR is a great play.

If you like a poppy shot then set the sfr to + personally I like the softer shot. I'm a fan of both though just think the r5 has less issues and better shot for my preference.

Are the eye holes in the eye pipe filled with epoxy/plastic? Or have they dropped the ”self cleaning” feature now?

Gen 1 Gtek with OLED board sells for $350 on ebay, and is just as good as these in every way, except that the MXR cap get an extra couple of pods out of a fill.
