I think it's because of the colour but she cuts her hair often and uses very expensive nice hair products so her hair is good The ends are a bit stiff and crispy looking but thats from her bleaching and then using a permanent dye in the last video

I live vicariously through Stella’s hair color transformations. She tries colors I don’t have the guts to try and looks amazing in all of them! I used to dye my own hair and actually felt it was therapeutic. I will say, even though I haven’t tried bold colors (boldest I’ve ever gone was rose gold with blonde), I did recently get brave and got Brad Mondo’s super purple and super red. I might get some of these Splat colors now too and have some fun.

RIGHT a lot of the time Stella dyes her hair she doesn't always bleach it (which is the damaging bit) a lot of the times the color fades out and she dyes over that, on top of the fact that semipermanent dye contains a bunch of healthy and nutritious things and she clearly treats her hair with additional oils and masks and whatnot. The few times I've died my hair (without bleaching it), it actually turns out shinier and healthier so adding color to your hair is not gonna wreck it completely

Tbh a lot of semi permanent dyes are damaging if they use developer. It may look shinier but definitely not healthier 😅 Even direct dyes that don’t damage your hair can be drying.

@@opaljade98 I know they’re technically called Demi permanent, but in the U.K. at least the majority of box semi permanent hair dyes you’ll find in stores use developer. It’s getting easier to find direct dyes now (not great quality ones though) but it used to be really hard to find a them in stores, I would have to order them online or from the states.

Congratulations on your new color. I totally understand why you dye your hair so often. I've had every shade of red there is, electric blue colored extensions, purple colored extensions, I had my entire head dyed bright purple. I just had it dyed coppers & chopped off over 4 inches to a chin length bob. I love it. Dyeing my hair make me so happy. I'm disabled & can't work or go to school unfortunately, so my parents pay for my hair appointments, which I'm so grateful for. They allow me to get it done because of how happy it makes me. I had my dyed a few days ago because my 40th Birthday is May 5th & roots & Birthdays don't go together.

It depends really a lot per dye but red fades pretty fast and leaves almost no stain, green/ blue on the other hand is uhm not so forthcoming.

the actual colors she uses aren’t damaging. they’re basically just conditioners with color so that’s why her hair always looks so healthy after adding color. bleach and permanent hair dyes that need developer to activate are the only thing that damage your hair.

HAIR CANNOT BE DEAD. because our hair is dead as soon as it leaves our roots. give her a break smh. dying doesn't damage the hair. bleach does.

As she already explained, you damage you hair when you dye it with permanent dye or if you bleach it. In her case, she already has a bleached base. When she has fun with her hair, using colorful semi-permanent dyes, it does not change the state of her hair. In fact, in nourishes it temporarily just like a colored conditioner. You can freak out when she'll decided to bleach it more, which I'm guessing will happen in the future, knowing Stella. But she also cut off the dead ends and chose to work with wigs to give her hair breaks. All in all, she's smart about her hobby (which I've been following for years) 😉

You lose 50-100 strands of hair a day so you might think your hair is falling out but it’s just the natural cycle of your hair. If it’s more than that then maybe go see a doctor because it could be lack of nutrition or some other underlying condition 👍🏻
