There is a little prayer you say every Tuesday to St Benedict, followed by 3 Glorias,3 Hail Marys, and 3 more Glorias. I say it to protect my family from ill health. “Admirable Saint and Doctor of Humility, you practiced what you taught, assiduously praying for God’s glory and lovingly fulfilling all work for God and the benefit of all human beings. You know the many physical dangers that surround us today, often caused or occasioned by human inventions. Guard us against poisoning of the body as well as of mind and soul, and thus be truly a “Blessed” one for us. Amen

Our Mother promised Triumph !!! St Benedict a great Saint for chasing of darkness/evil. Faith is and will be tested, as in Fire, to make us stronger. The Poor, Outcasts, Marginalised, Sick, Lonely and ALL the children of God. A smile to a stranger can have ripple effects and cause unknown good. 'Picking up a pen off floor has power to heal/ save a soul through Jesus.' St herese in Her diaries. Small acts from heart have great consequences for all and the world. Yes, Father - we ALL MAKE MISTAKES. All should repent and change heart. 🙏🙏🙏God bless. Mary with you as She is.

Happy New Year, Father Doyle! You are right, there is still a whole lot of HOPE and God knows how to encourage us! Thank You for Your presentation today. Such an interesting story. I have hope. So funny when You say: "Do you know...guess how many times one particular bloke became Pope?" I get so annoyed whenever an american protestant "bloke" preaches the 'end times' and gets people scandalized to such an extent that they lose faith and lose hope. God is not surprised. God is infinitely merciful and infinitely patient. He could end it all now, and maybe He is contemplating it, but He simply feels sad for a minute, then smiles at what some good man just did, and He is gratified and gives us another reprieve. Good for You, Father Doyle and thank you! Marcel from Saskatchewan.

Father is being honest. The Vatican needs to pay attention to honest dedicated priests who truly serve God.
@Mark3ABE4 күн бұрын
Thank you, Father. The story of Pope Leo IX is an encouragement. The Norman conquest of Southern Italy and Sicily was not such a bad thing. It had been governed, before that, very indifferently, from Constantinople. It was said that, during the reign of King Roger II of Sicily, Palermo was the greatest centre of Christian learning in Europe. There were great advances in science and medicine. The Normans had little respect for either the German Emperor or the Emperor in Constantinople, but they were a civilised and Christian people.
@GodsCottage2 күн бұрын
During his imprisonment, Pope Leo IX appears to have continued to liaise with the Normans, and some sort of peace was established
@Mark3ABE2 күн бұрын
@ In those days, of course, the Pope wore two hats. In fact, even up to 1870, when the Papal Government was finally overthrown, Pope Pius IX used to attend to his responsibilities as sovereign ruler of the States of the Church from the Quirinal Palace, where he was addressed as “Your Majesty”. He attended to his duties as Bishop of Rome from the Lateran Palace, where he was addressed as “Your Holiness”. So, in assembling an army and marching against the Normans, Pope Leo IX was not acting in his capacity as the Bishop of Rome, the successor of St. Peter, but as sovereign ruler of the States of the Church, in which capacity he had different responsibilities, to maintain those territories entrusted to him by the “Donation of Constantine”. So, while it seems strange to us today, when the Pope has on only one hat, to understand how the Normans could have been prepared to fully submit to the Pope as the successor of St. Peter, the guarantor of the Faith, but go to war with him as a temporal ruler.

4:13 I got you message Father. And I respect your opinion. Yes your right, this is what's best for my spiritual, mental health. I was on5 trying to point out for me news is always just being presented by one side. And I need constant good, nice imput.. I need to be tolerant that peaple will bring countries into the Catholic Church, and politics.. I go to church to escape this. And it usually takes me away from God. Always actually. Thanks for reality check. No one's perfect. Try and understand Father that I need a break from the news when I go to church.. also Father if you had been born in Russia , you would have the exact opposite view. We only get our so called news from one side, your side,,, I don't follow it. ..I pray about it. I get my information from the Bible. My mind is filled by the Holy Spirit.. You cling to your denile that British forces did not also raped and murdered their way around the world all the previous 3 centuries that's why I move on now.. you had your chance
@GodsCottage2 күн бұрын
There are indeed two sides to every story, but sometimes one side can be pure evil. Take the case of the woman being gang raped. There are still two sides to the story, the woman's side as a victim and the rapist's side. In Russia, priests who had the audacity to even pray for peace with Ukraine were imprisoned. I suspect you have been getting some of your 'information' from very dangerous sources

I hope you can answer. I sinned. I went to confession but I am really remorseful for my sin. I do thank God for His mercy. I’m just extra remorseful because I knew better and I have no excuse. Is there a prayer or something I can do to show The Lord. I know He forgives me. I’m just so sorry.
@GodsCottageКүн бұрын
The first question:- Did your sin directly bring hurt into the life of another person:- physical hurt, material hurt, emotional hurt, moral hurt, spiritual hurt? If it did, then you must seek to find a way to repair the damage or to at least call down God's blessing upon the person who has been hurt in the case of moral, emotional or spiritual hurt If your sin did not directly bring hurt into the life of another person, then what you now. need to confess is that you didn't accept God's forgiveness and you didn't forgive yourself
@ThomasSheehan-n6l19 сағат бұрын
It's OK Father Thady,, your right. It's simply not my site.. I desperately need catechism, scripture, advice.. I'm swamped in news. And I choose to judge no other, and deal with reality, what's not in news, from my eyes and ears.. and my Catholic Faith. Real life is all I want I leave you with all this other stuff BUT I GOT UR MESSAGE. LIVE AS SO I MAY GO STRAIGHT TO HEAVEN. News nothing to do with this

When I taught my First Communion classes they loved the little poem “Little White Guest” , though they couldn’t quite understand how Jesus’ Body was called both the ‘Guest’’ and the ‘Host’.
