I think the issue lies with the gear system, weapon are all okay and you can see the value of a certain weapon types in very specific scenarios. Gear sets are boosting weapons and the character too much to the point of making some weapon type kinda boring and less effective. What each set do; - Brawler, High 1h damage, high stamina efficiency (almost infinite stamina), high resistance to enemies, - Tank, High 2h damage, high stamina efficiency (almost infinite stamina), high resistance to any sources of damage (can be in god mode), - Medic, Parkour damage (nerfed to oblivion), heal (who cares), - Ranger, High range damage (Guns don't count), high stamina efficiency (almost infinite stamina). If techland didn't go for the RPG element and stayed with DL1 mechanics, it would have been much better. Making skill count over keyboard face smashing. For me, techland need to remove gear sets, its just game breaking. I've finished Nightmare NG+ twice without any gear on and it wasn't that hard. Imagine, Inhibitors + Good gear sets, + good weapon = Can't die, what's the point?

What they should do instead is provide some sort of negative downside to all gear armor so there is some dynamics to it. Ex. Tank reduces movement speed or swing speed reduction and etc. Personaly i don't think gears should be removed but rather reworked to the point where they should ONLY have 2 or 3 main stats and nothing else and the rarity of it simply increases the number of example damage increase to a weapon category. And another thing to mention is they should add is like i said earlier is negative downside to wearing said gear. And they need to add more gear armor, i have made a video where i showcase my gear armor ideas.

polearms are the best melee weapons in the game it's way more powerfull than other one's ! i say that after 900H+ on my save and best 1H and 2H weapons in my inventory, guys use polearms they are just OP ! If u manage to have high stamina cost reduction ur a god in the game with this weapon category.

Only problem is their severely high stamina reduction. Regardless of stamina reduction Id argue that 2 handed weapons higher damage output allows you to 2 shot human enemies frequently and reduce the amount of hits required to kill a volatile or bigger enemies by 2 or 1 hit.

Brawler's stamina reduction for combat feels damn good with 1H axes, especially ones with regen on quick attacks. I crafted a Lumberjack a long while back, and it's one of my go-tos when I decide to switch up my build - besides using The Extinguisher or the Police Stick. You can just keep swinging, swinging, and swinging... and *maybe* throw in a power attack here and there. I mainly use the Slitter, though. That big fuckin' fire axe cleaves everything; I pair it with Fling and Blaze.

I mainly stay with 2 handed weapons, regardless of what type of it is as long as im able to jump in raw (No pause) and be able to fight dirty and clean out a horde without any issue is enough to satify my monkey brain hence i stick with the tank.

Golden legendary boxes plus combine the legend skill damage increase as well as the tank's passive 2 handed damage increase it can reach upwards to 3k damage. Ima be honest with you i accidentally made that transition.

which gear set u using in video ?

For brawler the head, body, is a high level brawler gear but what rarity i don't remember. I make sure i use the transmog to remove the arm guards or bracelet. For pants and shoes i use low level brawler outfit but again i don't remember the quality. Just wear something that looks red. The tank is easy, every tank piece execpt the arm guards is a high level green rarity version, the arm guards are a low or mid level medic arm guards
