The Original Storyline had us meet Williams at some point in the middle of the Story. And we would be able to side with him against the PK's. But since Chris Avellone left, they rewrote around 85% of the entire Game, and got rid of that choice. I mean, we can still side with him at the end, but it doesn't do much - it just changes how the way to the X-13 goes.

I still prefer what I have going. Side mostly with peacekeepers, give Frank the radio tower which lets him save almost everyone, Hakon is alive and saves Lawan, Aitor lives, etc etc etc.

Same, they make the "right" choices fairly obvious except with the bazaar folk. They clearly wanted you to side with the survivors there since it becomes a ghost town if you don't, but like, the survivors are nothing but hostile and give you no reason to trust them.

I've done three playthroughs. I saved hakon, let lawan detonate and gave the radio to Frank, killed the Butcher. But because I speed ran it a 2nd time and only gave 4 things to peacekeepers ( min to complete story) and none to survivors lawan or hakon didn't leave with me. Just FYI.!

I’m so confused. In my epilogue the Colonel’s wife kill’s herself and so does he. I saved Mia, and Hakon saved Lawan. Juan took over the city with the Renegades and I left the city alone. Funny thing is my on screen dialogue still said Juan AND COLONEL WILLIAMS control the city. Despite Williams being dead.

This ending has to be the worst offender of the rewrites, I reckon. Here you've got the revelation that the Colonel is not the leader of the Renegades you've been fighting this whole time, that he didn't order the original missile strike, that he stopped it the first time, that he's a loving husband and runs a peaceful community. And yet somehow he sides with Juan, who is self-centred, cares for nobody but himself and his interests, rules Villador with an iron fist and no mercy, and now works with Waltz's Renegades. What the hell? That makes NO sense. In my ending (considered the best ending) The Colonel vanishes into thin air, as does Juan. Survivors seem to be running things, but PKs are still there and neither has a problem with that. It's good, but it still leaves so many questions.

It's fairly obvious, but in-case you missed it, the Renegades under Williams were just regular military who stayed with their Colonel after he defected, they are NOT the same Renegades who attacked the Canteen, they are not the same Renegades who work for Waltz and sound like crazed animals from MadMax. The moment you enter their compound, you see children playing, gardens, etc. This coupled with the revelation that Frank was shot by Peacekeepers and that the Renegades that attacked Frank were actually Peacekeepers (which, by the way; dumb plan, "let's dress up like enemies and slaughter or be slaughtered by our buddies, undercover styyyyyyle").

My ending really seems the best to me. Peacekeepers rule the city alongside the nightrunners. Lawan is the leader of the nightrunners, still comes with me on my journey, Hakon saved her. Aiden is not alone on his journey, Aiden got to spend the last minutes with his sister when she died. Bittersweet but still overall good

I got this ending accidentally. It wasn't that bad, kinda realistic, I didn't expect it but I was surprisingly satisfied with it. I hate happy endings in postapocalyptic games, they don't make much sense beside being cheesy. I wanted to destroy the city, but my evil plans have failed. I started to suspect that Mia was a nothingburger by the end of the game but I was still hoping that there would have been a twist that would have made Mia the main villain behind Waltz or something but they game failed to deliver here. Lawan blowed herself, I missed her on the one hand, good riddance on the other, the bitch was annoying sometimes. Still good, kinda heroic. Sided with Juan 'cause I like spies and intrigues. Was happy for him to run the city at the end. Even though he didn't look happy in the ending scene at all, extra points to realism ;) I actually wanted the city to be run by Juan or the military, if not destroyed. Hipsters running a postapocalyptic city is joke. Couldn't care less about the "survivors" and the "nightrunners", so sacrificing Bazaar and Frank was a no brainer. Didn't expect the "renegades" to win, though. They are portrayed as reckless bandits but the game doesn't actually tell the real story behind them, their motives, their interests. And the Coronel only has a few lines about himself in the end. So, apparently a part of the plot was cut here. Eventually I wasn't quite sure whether to sympathize or to despise them. So, overall, this is not bad at all. This is a good ending, if you ask me.

These endings make no sense with what is portrayed in the story. How on earth could Juan, who is being hunted and is one man, and the colonel, who lost the majority of his men, take control of the city against the night runners and the peacekeepers who own all the territory and strategic buildings? Just because Juan had a back door into the broadcasts so he could spy? The most rational and logical choices lead to the most ‘evil’ ending. Just makes me feel like I wasted my time in the open world. What ever happened regarding the colonel having the ability to drown the city in chemicals?

The colonel never wanted to sink the city, I doubt he would actually do it. If you look into the story and do some side quests it turns out he genuinely wanted to save as many people as possible, but Jack Matt pulled a prank and blamed millions of deaths on him. Its likely that after the news came out about Jack Matt the peacekeepers sided with the Colonel and Juan, which is why they are called the "New Bright Peacekeepers". Not the best ending imo, but still better than the regular peacekeepers ending, or blowing up the city.

nah i made a peacekeaper (i think it was true but without lawan) true or secret ending and it was still ok everyone was helping each other

Yea the neo-fascists who have the death penalty for everything above theft (even pre-ending, I know some people claim it's suddenly out of character... idk why because you just need to walk around their ship and you can find people being beaten in cells) and the borderline psychotic killers led by a power hungry, pre-fall general and a sleazeball are not great for a happy endings... who'd have guessed?

and how the hell is possible I even choosed to shoot the Colonel (his wife), teamed with Lawan and still got Renegade ending, like wtf? You need only 1. work with Juan, 2. give radio tower to Juan and then 3. do a side quest (spy on Matt) to get renegade ending regardelss if you shoot him or not? He somehow survived...
