Libby S-F If you don't cut it before you lighten it though, you'll have to cut off even more hair than planned especially if you already have split ends because the hair will split farther up the shaft. it's better to cut beforehand and then maybe trim after.

it's because your hair was green to begin with if you're going to put silver in your hair you have to be platinum blonde no yellow toned green tone it has to be white and you don't put blue and silver you put purple and silver and you use a purple shampoo as well that's why it didn't work it's not because the girl is Sally's didn't know what she was talking about you just didn't do it right.

I was initially buying a dark grey dye but the girl at Sally's told me to get the one in this video so I trusted her. She said it would be better. So I was confused cus I always get dye that IS the color on the box. It was weird and I looked up instructions on how to use it but it wasn't helpful! So yeah, I am impatient but I know what I'm doing too :) I've been dying and cutting my own hair for years now. It just sucked that I listened to the girl and got something I wasn't familiar with and wasted my $$. But all good cus I knew how to fix it

+Jennie Martinez I usually fuck with Manic Panic and N'Rage so the color is already visible. This was new and I even let it sit for a couple minutes and it stayed white. Did more research and it said to mix it with a developer and it still didn't do anything. Sucks but whatever hahaha. I'm just gonna keep sticking with Manic Panic and N'Rage, so much easier

I work at Sally's and I would have 100% recommended that color HOWEVER I would have advised that you would need to lighten it to at least a 9 if not a 10 to let that silver over it... Color lifter, bleach IF needed. Then after the green is out THEN put the silver on. The color your hair came out was beautiful especially with the purple but just for future reference any pastels or silver colors your hair HAS to be lifted to almost white blonde for them to really come out as intended.
