why did you bleach it first? i use that textures and tones dye all the time, it lightens your hair color for you so you dont have to bleach it

But you’re absolutely right but I did have color in my hair previously, and I have tried to use textures and tones when a color was already in my hair and it didn’t work. So I just waited for my hair to grow out and then bleached it cause some of the color still stuck. So yea I bleached it to start all over with this color.

silvermoonstone6076 oh yess that’s exactly what I did , and the color came out brighter. But you really have to make sure (if your hair is natural) that you oil your hair and keep it moisturized so it won’t be damaged. This is the second time I’ve bleached my hair and as long as I’m really taking care of it. I’m fine :) if you need more advice just let me know.

Hot oil treatments monthly , add oil to ur gels and anything you use in your hair. Oil is your best friend and water is not. Just try not to wash everydayyyyy

Denaisha Thomas YES you can dye it after cutting but, if it is a color that requires bleach before the process you have to be carful because, it should not sit on the scalp too long... it may burn. So yes! My big chop video also gives great advice !!

Krazy meme dye tends to dye better on dirty hair. Not necessarily dirty but more products and oil on your hair the better. I never dye my hair when it’s clean lol. As weird as it sounds, clean hair is too slippery and the color won’t want to stick. If that makes sense ❤️❤️❤️

Life With Lashae since this color is more of a ginger color, I think it’s a perfect natural color and will look really pretty with your skin. Now if you bleach it to lighten ur hair first it may be a little brighter but if you want a more natural ginger color jus use developer and NO bleach. ❤️❤️❤️

Charlotte Mandy yes but be aware that you have to take care of it. It’s summer and the heat willll kill it if ur not careful. But since your hair is naturally black I would do a lightener or even bleach.

Girl you’re fine, you have what is called Naturally Virgin hair, which means the color will naturally lift hair about 2 or 3 colors lighter to you’re liking also, try buying a heat protectant spray to make the hair color last in this heat

Well I bleached first because my hair had been colored before and I colored it black. I know my hair pretty well and I’ve dyed it many time before and it just wouldn’t pick up color. Hair grows back and my hair is very thick. Can put up with a lot haha but thank you 😊

xxx Brooklyn and what you’re saying is true. To take care of colored hair you really got moisturize it !! Less conditioning though because that will make your hair very dry and might even break the ends depending on how dry it is where you live.
