P.S. if you get hair dye on your skin… spray some hairspray on a paper towel and wipe it away. Works like a charm. 💯

I've been watching videos of people dying their hair back to brown from a funky colour and I'm so happy to find a channel that posted a video fairly recently about it! haha I noticed that you posted this video like a week ago. How are you feeling so far with the brown colour? I have SO many mixed feelings on dying my hair to a "neutral" colour. I have gotten so used to having crazy colours. Like I feel like it is a part of me at this point hahaha. But it is also so much upkeep, and I feel like when I do colourful makeup, the makeup will pop more if I have a natural looking hair colour. Sorry this was a long comment. I just have so many mixed emotion regarding changing my hair colour X'D

okay so i felt the exact same way! i legitimately felt like i wouldn't be myself without the fun pink hair. Not to mention, my one year old sister thinks any girl on TV with pink hair is me hahaha i love it. I had nightmares about having brown hair and being all normal again (not joking, the nightmares were real) i loved to stand out and i think the pink did a lot for me regarding my confidence, personality, etc. however, im 2 weeks into having brown hair and i have ZERO regrets about it. I feel so mature and confident in a whole different way. I definitely find myself looking at old photos and reminiscing on how cute the pink was, but this is a new chapter of my life. If you're not ready yet, just give yourself time. and always remember you were beautiful before you started bleaching it and you will continue to be beautiful regardless! (also, super stoked about all the money im gonna save which is a huge plus) lol wishing u all the best love

@@katelcandel aww thanks for such a long and detailed reply! I feel all these things too. Other than I don't have nightmares, and I don't have a sister who thinks people on TV are me. BUT I do have little kids staring at me like I am a mermaid or something haha. But yeah. The hair sort of becomes a part of you. And I feel like "I am the girl with the dyed hair" haha. I especially feel the "not wanting to be 'normal' again" :P Also, my hair colour always strikes conversation etc... So I am super divided on what to do. But at the same time I am sick of the upkeep and the roots, and the damage etc... And feel like the brown would be a whole new mood. Like you say you feel confident in a whole new way. Decisions decisions. I'll definitely film a video too when I do it haha :P It must be documented! XD

So I just dyed my hair hot pink just in the front and a darker brown everywhere else and it has been killing my hair. I lost so much hair in the shower it's not even funny. I am thinking about going back to my brown but does that mean I would have to strip it first because it is prolly not going to come out with just hair dye. No you should be good! it might fade faster but just be mindful when you wash :)

I’m late! But! Browns (especially ash-toned browns) can often pull green tones out of hair. By adding red before hand, you ensure that your brown won’t be muddy and green bc red and greens are opposite on the color wheel!

Hi! watch this video, it will explain everything! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGrKoIJud9eMeLs I believe our situation might be a bit different because we have pink not blonde, however I’m assuming under your pink is bleached hair so I would take the extra step and dye it red just to be safe! The red will fill the hair strands with protein so they can lock onto the darker color better :)

Ooo exciting! The red was super helpful, it really helped with fading… and I don’t think it matters toooo much to dye roots I think I dyed over them but i don’t think it was needed

hi! so it faded to a nice light brown, but my natural hair is almost black so my dark roots were still kinda annoying. I then dyed it jet black so i could have one solid color (regret) bcus it ended up fading to what looks like.... dark green after i shower purple/red in sun and just an off black overall

ALSO, i dyed it brown with demi permanent dye and dyed it jet black with overtone which is more of a coloring conditioner which is probably where i went wrong if i wanted the color to last. hope this helped!

hiiiii ! It faded to a lighter brown, very pretty but my dark roots were so annoying so I dyed it black again very soon after. i was also swimming a lot in salt water and chlorine so I think it faded faster than it should’ve!
